kns57 - 2007-12-06 7:58 PM Hello Twisnibbins! I have returned from the land of strange lights and am excited to see that the land of Twisnibbins continues on.
So how was Vegas? How did the race go? Please don't tell me what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!
LOL I don't think anything I did is rated enough to stay in vegas. I did finish the race, I'm working on the report. Disappointed in my time, but I'm just glad I finished. My PF about took me out of the race. First half I ran/walked and was doing about a 13 minute mile (good for me). But then by mile 8 my PF started acting up. Bonked by mile 10. My friend Gina kept me going to the finish. She even hung with me though I kept telling her to go ahead. Good Friend.
WHOO WHOO! Nice job, even if it was a struggle - you rocked! - I'll stop by and read the RR later.

x2!

PF is some nasty stuff - so glad you had someone to keep you going!

You and me both.

hi Beth!

Yeah, it was one of those days from the moment I rolled out of bed.  Swimming was a contact sport today--and not with the pool piglet coach.  Let's just say that I am tired of losing my contacts when the goggles leak and decided to wear glasses to the pool--tossed the Rx goggles cause they leak so bad...most of the set was backstroke and I hit my head on the wall, and rubbed my back along the lane lines a few times...got out at the end of class to use the ladies room and nailed my knee on the ladder (sucker still hurts) decided to get the other 400 in to hit my goal for the day--slow doesn't begin to describe it...Hung at the gym drinking coffee until core endurance class.  Least I made it through that one uninjured Wandered the mall...panicking cause I think my kid is going to be in trouble with the teacher if we don't have a white skirt...only to get a late afternoon call from the teacher saying "I don't know where Carrie got the idea she needed a white skirt from, I know they can't be found this time of year" And now Rachel is ticked cause I had to get her sister a new outfit and she didn't get one...What part of "it fits me too" doesn't she understand--that means it's gonna land in my closet cause C will leave it on the floor!

Yeah. We then went out to dinner with my hubby's best friend from growing up who now lives in Vegas. I think I almost fell asleep at the table.

If anyone makes it to Las Vegas, I highly recommend the Cirque Du Soliel show "KA" It was amazing to say the least. The stage itself is unbeliveable, and then what they did with it. OMG!!!

I've seen their traveling show before. They have four or five shows in Vegas. This is their new show. Which show did you see?

I've seen it a few times... most recently last year.  My daughter is big into acrobatics so it's always cool for her to see the professionals!  Speaking of my daughter, I was thinking of leaving this under her pillow:

Dear Exhibit A,

I realize dance is your passion.  However, the Nutcracker and your recitals make life very hectic.  These times afford me little opportunity to play on BT and has made me fall behind on inspires, reading race reports and chatting keeping up on the important information offered on the forums.  How about taking up knitting?

TIA,
Your Mother

Oh, yeah. Remember the Santa race that we all signed our hubby's up in? It was cool. They had over 10,000 Santas there and I think they broke the world record. I'll try to post the pics tomorrow.
