Yep, those good 'ole sweet Vidalia onions....

OMG!  I put Vidalias on absolutely EVERYTHING.  Sautee some Vidalias and portabellas and use them in twice baked potatoes.  Seriously.  Do it now.

Uh... I like my Vidalias and Port's with steak and whiskey.....

BUT... there is NO other onion besides the Vidalia that should be used for an etoufeé!!!  And THAT is cardinal law!!!!!!!!!!!

You mean steak and Abita right?

Alrighty gang...

I'm starting to smell myself from my sweatfest b/t the warm temps at work and running in the store... suppose that hubby might appreciate me not stinkin' up the bed.... so I'm off to shower and then read stories...

Gosh... after talking about southern cooking, I think I may try to convince DS #1 to read Petite Rouge Riding Hood (she brings boudin, etoufeé, gumbo, and other yummies to grandmere)

NIGHT NIGHT!!!!!

Goodnight! I'm off to bed too. This is a change... I'm never online to be able to say goodnight to people I'm an EARLY riser!

Goodnight!!

Ok -  just hit 85 sign ups for the challenge...

I was going to put something in the TriTalk and COJ forums for tomorrow USA time now Im not sure how crazy I want it to goet...

Putting something up generally reduces the amount of people that sign up late which is a major positive... and makes setting teams easier... but once challenge numbers get to this point it starts to be a bit of a juggle keeping track of everyone...

Then again there is google spreadsheet this year and thats a positive....

I'm struggling with feeling good about myself today.

Tell me something good that happened to each of you over the weekend.

(and no, I'm not going into details of why I'm down. I just need some perspective, thanks).

I slept an entire 12 hours straight! And I went for a swim... first time back in exercise since the emergency trip to New Zealand...

Oh and I sat and had a coffee and a sweet bun while reading Better Homes and gardens magazine.

Nope... its not good stuff that happened to me, its good stuff I made happen (if you are looking for a flip in perspective)

YAY! CAT SWAM! Are you going to bike for the TdF challenge?

Trying to work it out... the hard part is predicting how my body will react to the lack of sleep... combined with the exercise...

What's the minimum allowable?

Theoretically... 1 stage of 15 minutes in duration

OK, that's your goal.

Lol - Id like to think I could do the 21 stages again... just pop to the gym after work each day...

Well, how about 9 sessions? That would be 3x a week. After all, if you hit that, you can always increase your goal, right?

Wont I get in trouble for not setting a challenging goal?

Well, I'm saying to go ahead and set one. But make it a "reasonable" one.

(Ha! This must be the first time EVER that I've mentioned being "reasonable." LOL)

Sigh... It looks like I'll be relying on the tour's webpage tracker and BT to follow the stages.  That or I'll just have to fight for the TV in the break room when there's about 10km to go each day.

I think we were going to see if he'd put up a BT jersey or membership for the winner of a podium and jersey picking contest.  Sort of like an NCAA basketball pool.
