Not much on my agenda today. Gotta take Stitch to get the staples removed. Should be a good time!

That is about it. Gonna try to get a few miles in just to keep the legs loose. That'll be this afternoon. Not much besides. Hope everyone has (or had) a great Wednesday!

I just got a call from my husband ... his nanna has just passed away Its something that has been on the cards for a while so its not really a shock, but so sad all the same. It has been a difficult few years for her and her family. She was a lovely woman but could also be very demanding in an unreasonable way and this took a big toll on her immediate family. She was also often very uncooperative with taking her medications and generally caring for herself (ie sticking to a healthy diet etc). I am relieved and happy that she is finally at peace. RIP Rose

Okay, staples are out. Wasn't too bad. Stitch pitched a little bit of a fit. He even dumped out his candy corn I brought as a bribe. Not nice! Our nurse was super good though. That makes things better.

No, didn't burn. I was just cold for a while from being wet. I am glad I was outside though and still wearing my winter coat -- I have a white sweater on today.

I'm going running tomorrow in the a.m. with my future swimming training partner. We are going to join the same gym. I am so excited! I never had a training partner before (because I'm turtle slow).

She will help keep me accountable because she's a morning person; I can help her because she doesn't know much about swimming; and she can help me because she's a super cyclist.

She's also recovering from a knee injury, so she even is running at my speed now. Sweet!

My first year volunteering at Lake Placid and first time at an IM, I hit Simon Lessig. I felt so bad!!!

I was holding out a Gu, but trying to take a picture at the same time. He ran right into my arm. I felt horrible! After that when the pros went by, I just took pictures. (There were more than enough other volunteers to keep them stocked.)

He won that event that year (2004?), though, so all is well.

I also plan to do a long run Saturday or Sunday. Friday I probably won't be able to get anything in because I have to come to work early, I have a lunchtime meeting, and it's my spouse's birthday, so going home and taking him out to eat.

does anyone have any experiences with an aero helmet. I just ordered one because my old helmet made my hair smell like mildew. I guess thats what happenes after owning a helmet for 7 years. I figured what the heck why not. I was going to get one eventually anyways.

No experiences with aero helmet, but I am going to need to get a new one soon. I am having a hard time parting with it, though, because it's so comfy.
