December Pick-A-Challenge UPDATE!

So how are we doing? Well, here's what you've been waiting for, THE CURRENT TEAM STANDINGS

1st place: Random Taser Me Elmo Cat Stalkers - 54.24%
2nd place: Hot Toddies - 42.18%
3rd place: Holiday Knockers - 39.85%

But December isn't over yet! AND it's actually much closer than it appears, since the RTMECS team's high average is pretty much due to a single overachiever!

It's December 18th now -- and don't forget all those upcoming holidays and gym closings! Hurry, hurry hurry -- and get those workouts in!

Hey guys.  I've been out for a week due to a knee injury.  I'll try and make up my workouts but I think it might be more fair to my teammates to update the goals since it was an injury.  What do you guys think?

Hi Rob!

I vote for updating your goals, we don't want to see you risk making it even worse by trying to push to make up the workouts.  It has happened to many of us that we have had to make an injury or sickness adjustment

Dee came up with the formula of figuring out what % of the month was missed due to injury or illness and adjusting the goal by the same %.

No no no - do not risk further injuring your knee. Revise your goals:

First do this:
(31 Days total) - (# of days that you were out due to injury) = (# days that you could work out)

Then:
Original goal x (# days that you could work out) / (31) = new goal.

For example, say your original goal was 25 miles, but you lost 10 days due to injury:
31 - 10 = 21 days that you could work out

25 miles x ( 21 / 31) = 16.9 miles revised goal

And the above goes for ANYONE who has been sick or injured.... In fact, I'll just repost it on all the team threads.

Sick? Injured?

If you have been sick or injured, you may revise your goals as follows:

First do this:
(31 Days total) - (# of days that you were out due to injury) = (# days that you could work out)

Then:
Original goal x (# days that you could work out) / (31) = new goal.

I have noticed most threads are pretty quiet lately.  I think it's Christmas rushing around is killing the chatter.

well if you're required to get on the trainer, then I'd be required to run in the rain and wind...  I'm hoping for a siesta in the storm...
