I couldn't believe what I was watching. It is like last year all over again. And he has had such a relatively good year and then he does that. AGAIN! WTF!?!?!?!?! |

Saw the bite on the replay, it's clear and there is no way we see him again this world cup.

As a Liverpool fan, all I can say is SAS will be in full flow next year, we need them to be the strong strike force taking us forward. Of course, Suarez needs to be sent packing, Sterling and Sturridge need to be the SAS next year. |

My concern, though is that Sterling is NOT the producer The Cannibal is (I'm tempted to start calling him that from now on). Sure Sturridge is good but I think we need someone as prolific and Sterling is not there yet. And not entirely certain he ever will be. I'm so disappointed that he did that again. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. |

Sturridge is the support Sterling needs whilst being a very effective striker, the two of them I do think can be the strong strike force. |

He doesn't think they will as FIFA want the top players in the tournament. Interesting comments. |

Lifetime ban from international play at the least should be a no-brainer. Exactly. Very serious mental and emotional issues. What is going through his head?? "I really want to bite this guy!" Its so sad and bizarre it's almost funny. And every game he plays in there are hi-def cameras EVERYWHERE. So it's completely impossible that it will go un-noticed and he still does it. Insane. If he gets banned it could cost him millions. Like someone else said, hard to wrap your head around it. |

489 | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers I think he should be thrown out of the World Cup. I don't want to see him playing in England. I hate it that he's earning money off the back of the English game. If he needs help with his mental issues he should be sent back to Uruguay to get it. Horrendous that young people learning the game get that as an example. And THREE times!! WTF! |

THIS is the part that I can't get my head around. How can he even begin to think he would get away with it. There clearly is something mentally wrong with him. Good lord, he is already buck toothed and over bitten, AND one of the best scorers in the game, does he NOT think a million cameras from every conceivable angle won't be trained on him and him alone?!?!?!? ARGH! this guy is killing me. |

Champion 15211 Southern Chicago Suburbs, IL | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers Originally posted by Dan-L Originally posted by siouxcityhawk Should Germany and US make a deal to draw? Both move forward if they do..... right?
As you know, the group winners play another group runners up in the next round. There was a farcical situation once when, because of a freak result (caused by a double sending off), the tournament favorites finished as runner up in the group. Therefore the two teams in the next group really wanted to avoid winning their group to face this team so they were both trying to lose the game. As the match went on this became more and more evident with each team defending the 'wrong' goal. As it stands, the winner of the USA group is likely to play Algeria and the runner up Belgium. So yes, probably a draw would suit...
Can you imagine if we were to win and play Algeria. Talk about a rematch! Not that it WILL happen but it COULD happen. Now THAT would be fun. |

Champion 15211 Southern Chicago Suburbs, IL | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers Anyone see this article? It was 6 days ago so it can be updated to show CR and MX have gone through. Still, CONCACAF are showing VERY well this year. Especially compared to UEFA. http://www.espnfc.com/blog/world-cup-central/59/post/1892961/concacaf-showing-well-at-world-cup Edited by crowny2 2014-06-25 11:11 AM |

Expert 1207 Parker, Co | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers Twellman has been discussing this too - I like his commentary, very open, honest and knowledgeable.....hope he gets more chances for EPL games..some of those fools are awful. - now onto the subject - I think some of it is due to conditions - historically European teams have not done well in SA based WC's.....whether its the heat humidity or just the timing - no idea but its not a shock that some have been eliminated. Add to that the current transition of several of the Euro teams in terms of players....aging generation replacing with newer inexperienced players and you have a recipe for disappointment.... I also think there is greater parity these days with the multi national nature of the Euro leagues - there is no longer many National teams that are majority based in their own country. |

I also think there is greater parity these days with the multi national nature of the Euro leagues - there is no longer many National teams that are majority based in their own country. Funny how the conditions were talked about leading up to the WC and all of these countries talked about how it wouldn't be a factor. I'm not entirely convinced it is one but I also can't rule it out. I definitely agree with the parity comment. Not that TONS of players in CONCACAF play in Europe, but some do and more are each year. That can only help their respective national teams when they play. It will be interesting to see if this trend continues in the coming WC's. It would be nice to see other leagues begin to respect CONCACAF. It is no longer the whipping post Asia and Africa are perceived to be. |

Thing is, how much has this incident hurt his resale value? I want him gone too. I would rather under perform without him than have his stain on my club. |

Expert 1207 Parker, Co | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers Good grief!!! The width and space they are giving the Germans will hurt them if Davis and Zusi dont get back and cover. Its a bit shaky at the back so I hope they talk it over at half and fix that issue...too much time on the ball at the edge of the area too....pressure the ball!!! Dont see the US scoring unless someone unleashes an unstoppable shot from distance
