the elliptical was 2.7 miles, took an easy run in the neighborhood for another 1.5 miles so I'm up to 36.65 miles so far (I think that's what my log says anyway)  Fun time is over, time to shower and clean the upstairs

Hi, kids!

Good to hear from everyone.

I want blondies and a pic of Gail's legs too!

Walked 2 miles to work. It's only a mile away. Yep, it's been that kind of a day.

I hope you walk better than you drive...

Oh, that hurts. But unfortunately, this morning, no.

here's hoping that it gets better from this point--though spokes isn't helping it much (wouldn't expect anything less though, he's a TAN'er)

I know the kind of day you're talking about!  Here's to the rest of the day getting better.

May your one mile walk home be only 1/2 mile long! :-)

Bethie, THANK YOU--and the wish will come true! See, I'm biking home--and it'll only take me half as long to get home that way.

Yanti, you've already met me in person (in a speedo bikini, no less) so you have had the chance to see my legs -- although admittedly before I became a runner -- and I am sure that the majority of our teammates don't need any more shameless self-promotion from me (I am an LATri girl, after all, and I also am a wicked fine baker/cake decorator -- insert Bunny-appropriate emoticon for self-aggrandizement here).   I do need to update my post-surgical leg shots in my photo album, though, so maybe I'll do that later today.  Ross, you can go there to check them out.  And Yanti you will  also see I've done my share of fundraising for AIDS-related charities, too.

I had bad food today - my boss and I went to lunch at a hibachi place and I ate fried rice. And then there was cake for one of the admin's birthdays...and I had a piece I have no willpower...

sure you do!  you only ate one piece of cake -  more than one - that would have been a lack of will power :-)

This is true - because there are still pieces of cake left and I have not touched them

Refresh (Control F5) I've changed it. But that's a finisher's medal from the Cowtown Half-Marathon on October 7th.

He's changed it twice in the past 30 min - I guess he's searching for 'just the right look' - LOL

Gail, I re-read "the rules" you put down on day 1...maybe I'm missing something but I thought if we went over goal it didn't dount extra.  I'm trying to decide if I want to BUMP my goal again since this has been more do-able than I initially thought.  When we did TdF, it didn't count for the team if someone went over.  Does anyone know the "official" position on this so I can decide?

Cat makes the rules, not me, but my understanding is that only 100% of goal counts toward the team, regardless of whether you go over, but if you go up and don't make it, well, that's another story.  I don't know what happens if every team has everyone at 100, though -- I guess everyone wins!

Personally, I think setting a high goal and striving for it but missing it is way more admirable than setting a low one and achieving it early, so despite the threats of penalty, I'd say BUMP it up!  However, our team may disagree, even though I am sure everyone has great legs.
