I went kayaking and saw a guy with one of those over the shoulder speedos on... It was neon green, and he had this crazy blonde wig on, and another black wig stuffed in his pants. He was standing at the bow of his canoe, drunk, in all his pasty white glory. I was extremely intoxicated... so I started laughing so hard that I tipped the kayak... lol |

It's from my adviser and I feel like it's the hardest one. He made up for it by giving me "extra time" and said I could turn it in before the weekend. Except that I have to turn it in by Friday morning so we can leave. I'm frustrated with him. See you all later. Back to the grind. Good luck! I had a VERY intimidating adviser in grad school. In fact, he was kind of a jacka$$ , and his heavy German accent didn't do anything to smooth that fact over. It was also kind of weird that my dad was this guy's GA when he was college. He turned out to be really cool the last few weeks though. Tough no doubt, but respectful of the effort and quite congrulatory when it was all said in done. So, with the work you're putting in, I'm expecting much the same. You'll do fantastic! Thanks. That is good to know. My adviser sounds a lot the same. Just have to get through this right now and then I get a break. |

Committee chairs decide yesterday we would all meet early for pizza. $5 a person. Oh, we are to all bring something else to the meeting to share. So - She comes in with the Pizza. 4 boxes of medium pizza for 7 of us. Already way too much pizza. She charges each of us $5. I figured that comes to $35. At most the pizza cost about $44 (I looked online). We don't even get through two of the pizzas. At the end of the meeting she takes all the pizza home with her complaining that she did not collect enough from all of us to cover it so no one else can take pizza home with them. She did not contribute anything else. So...what about the money all the rest of us spent on dessert, salad, dressings, forks, plates, etc. I hope I never have to work with her on a committee again. Jeezzz. |
