Morning everyone. Just finished an hour of PT. My therapist checked out my knee for me and iced it while I was getting stim on my shoulder. He said it's fine, just a little swelled. Otherwise my legs feel great so I'm feeling optimistic about the marathon. If I can get out of work I'm planning a swim tonight to give my legs a break.

LazyMarathoner - 2008-10-19 4:03 PM Now I'm at Starbucks getting my recovery drink - a grande salted caramel hot chocolate. That stuff is like liquid crack. I thought about it the last 5 miles.

Mmmmm...salted caramel hot chocolate.  I might have to stop at Starbucks on my way to the grocery.

I dont understand the salted thing... guess its something we dont do here...

Salt and chocolate is an incredible combination. When I was in Madison for the Ironman I would go to this bakery every day and get this dark chocolate cookie with sea salt on top. Seriously the best thing I've ever had.

And you wouldn't tell me????

*edit* Slipped in under the radar there with a TOPpage!

I'll be in Madtown in December, we can go get a cookie then

That sounds like a promise.  Pinky-shake on that.

What do you mean I don't listen? I took it easy. I ran the pace that felt right and I cut my mileage significantly leading up to it. I feel great today aside from a little swelling in my knee, which is normal. I'm old. I'm not 25 anymore

If you're lucky... But seriously, I think I'll be there 5-7 days or so, just have to figure the travel out. I'm planning some time in Chicago, too. It would be nice to see some BTers while there!

I'm in that stage that my body is tired and sore, but I don't care because I am still thrilled about the accomplishment from all the effort put in over the last 3 months.

Oh yeah.  All considering I don't feel that bad.  Much better than last year, when I was a lot more sore and then had to drive a stick shift jeep 4 hours home, since Laura can't drive manual.  I was not happy about that.
