Thin Mints... and Carmel Delights (used to be somoas? - coconut, carmel goodness!)  and to make matters worse, I am a fein for ice cream!  I actually prefer ice cream over beer, and that is saying something!

The more you train the more you get to enjoy, right?  I am putting the Samoa Ice Cream on my must have list.... I hope I don't regret it!  I feel some weight gain in my future!  Just in time for milage increases...

KelliD - 2009-03-23 10:13 AM

Newtons1st - 2009-03-23 9:38 AM I had a 2 terrible accidents this weekend. One on Saturday and one on Sunday. I ate a box of Do-si does each day. Those damn Girl Scouts. They are the devil.

I LOVE GS cookies!!!!  I'm always torn whether my favorite is Thin Mints or Samoas.  YUM!!  I recently discovered Edy's (or Dryer's, depending on where you live) Limited Addition Slow Churn Samoa Cookie Ice Cream.  Do yourselves all a favor and go out and buy a few cartons immediately!!!!!  You'll thank me later.  Don't buy just one bc you never know when they're going to stop offering it, and you don't want to be left craving a dish of frozen heaven only to find you're going to have to wait a year for it.

I'm with you....I'd take ice cream over beer any day!!  In fact I'd take ice cream over pretty much anything!  I figure we train enough that we work it off.  Plus, you only live once, enjoy yourself!

Okay, the way that reads just makes me giggle.  I would have tummy related accidents if I ate that many girl scout cookies this weekend... not sure what kind of accidents you're referring though.  Haha...

lol... I think I am one of the lucky ones where I have an Iron stomach. Sweets, chocolate and fudge in large quantities does no harm to my innards. I have been known to put away an entire double dutch chocolate fudge cake on my own.

Haha I'm sure she can tell it better than I but when she got home from church I had candles/rose pedals up the stairs and was waiting for her at the top.Our 3yr anniversary is tomorrow and I wanted to do it beforehand to surprise her.

These will probably satisfy your total girl craving, then get outside and get training!

Eric I was peeking at your log and had a Q. What does the on 2:50 part mean?

3x200 on 2:50 (2:24,2:25,2:25)
2x300 on 4:10 (3:35,3:36)
1x600 (7:06)

2:50 and 4:10 are the intervals so however much faster than that you go is rest.  So in the 200's case I got 25s rest between each one.

Geez guys don't give her any ideas!

You are also much more confident in my race than I, I'm shooting for ~4:35 but of course it all depends on the conditions that day. One of the exciting things about this sport, you can never control what happens on race day only the training before it

ERIC

I am just gonna say... It makes me ill at how freaking fast you are in the water.  The bike...the run... I can push, I can suffer, I can hang...at least for a little while...but damn!  Your swim times are enough to make me tie a boat anchor to your butt at our next mutual race. Surprised

I feel a lot stronger in the water... I feel like my effeciency is improving (my hydrodynamics), technique... all that seems to be coming together and I look forward to some better race times because of it.   BUT, even at my "sprint the last 50's" (as fast as I feel - I still can't come to close to that)  I know you have been swimming a long time, coached, etc... It's kinda like running in a race with Sean Wade, and know just how fast he is when he laps the field and streaks past you at a sub 5min pace...  That's how I equate a swim with you... sickening!

Although I am complaining... it is also meant as a compliment to you.  And, I will continue to work and with a little luck and plenty of training time... maybe I can hold a 1:45 for 100m in a HIM or less.  Keep up the good work ~ we all have a great deal of confidence in you...simply based on your example in training.

Haha, thanks for the complaint/compliment!

Like you said remember I had the privilege of having some great world class coaches throughout my swimming career and when you swim ~18,000m/day with them it helps. I think I told Nicole before, everytime you get in the water realize you have the ability to become the fastest you've ever been... me on the other hand am just trying to delay sucking since there's no way for me to reach my college times again

F-K!!  Totally explains all the speediness!  My body hurts just reading that.  I don't even swim that in a month!
