Subject: RE: Taser Roasted Peeps II

did i mention....

i found a Sprint Tri to do in mid-May.

in Ohio, just 45 mins from my house.  (yeah, its close, so i can drive out that morning...)

why so excited?  well for the life of me, i couldnt find a Sprint Tri that was close enough that was about that time.

i searched and searched, but came up with nothing.

i had resigned myself to the fact that i was gonna have to 'wait' all summer to do my very first Sprint Tri in August, even though ive been preparing to do one since early October, thats a LONG time to wait....

the biggest dilemma was trying to figure out how to maintain a certain level of training fitness through the summer what w my kids home from school.

its one thing to bang out a 1 1/2-2 hr workout/two a day NOW that all three in school, but not something i want/need/can do when theyre all home during the summer.

plus, we go vacation, we have a boat that we go out on almost every weekend - LOTS of splendid disruptions and distractions ya know.

the way our summer is, its just not conducive to training, extensively.  maintaining fitness, but i just didnt want to be 'weighed down' w training per se.

SO, this way, i can continue to prepare as i have been preparing - do my mini the end of April and then do my first Sprint Tri mid-May, and then do the MS150 (YES!  i am doing it.....)

this way ill have the summer to GOOF OFF.  maybe do some running only events, an aquathon if i can find one that fits my schedule, that sorta thing, but taper back just a little.

im pretty jazzed about it, so nice when a plan finally comes together.

its the little things.....

tlnewman30 - 2009-03-28 7:14 PM Figured I have been MIA long enough.  Got a ten mile run in today with Laura.  I can tell that I have been slacking on all thing since the wisdom teeth where taken out.  It still hurts to run or anything else that causes teeth chattering, but oh well.  Hopefull the last three days of the challenge will not be a let down.

Ouchie.  You try using a mouthguard? Seriously.

Never thought about it.  That might be a good idea though.  Thanks Phil

Isn't that how all that started, being at the home when the tornado came through?  This is starting to be a cycle (no, not a bicycle, tricycle or motorcycle, either).

Just a thought, but I'm wondering if it may hamper breathing some?  Or, orajel the helloutofit.  Oh, better yet, a little Beam applied on it - it worked for teething as per my Mother-in-law when she did that to her kids (my wife included).

D001 - 2009-03-28 8:32 PM Dear Challenge Participants, Don't forget to update your Team Spreadsheet with your 4th week workout numbers! I'll pull the numbers tomorrow, and give everyone an update on where the teams stand. Record the NUMBER of days you work out each week on the Spreadsheet. (Not times or minutes, just total number of DAYS.) The spreadsheet is set up by weeks. http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-AbuFA8FxE_SwTo log onto the spreadsheet: Email: [email protected] Password: challengeforum

Sorry. I'm behind again. I can't seem to get to my computer either Friday or Saturday. Anyway, I updated my workouts and number of days. So, I'm still 100% peachy!

YOU ROCK KAREN! we miss you on those days! but way to keep it PEACHY!
