Amy, I'm planning to rent a car. I don't know if I'm going to run or sherpa. Depends on how well I recover from MCM. I'll wait until we get a final head count so that I can decide if I need to rent a cute convertible or a 6 person sedan. I would guess a second car is a good idea. Carlsbad is about 45 mins from San Diego airport. I haven't booked flights yet, but will do so in the next few days. Probably coming in Friday afternoon and leaving Tuesday morning.

The meeting didn't suck too much. Went to dinner along the water front where a bunch of military boats were there for some sort of adventure. Got one guy to let me spend some time with the night vision goggles. They would not take me to my water front hotel, though- spouting some sort of miltary regulations or such. The were not impressed with the fact we worked for the goverment too. Hmmm.

Kim, fantastic about the job. I hope it works out fantastically.
Ann, good luck keeping that kid down for 2 weeks. I guess you got the link to the house? yes?

FWIW, If my DH is coming  (depends on election results- we'll know after 11/2) we are coming for the full week. We will rent a car. If he doesn't show and Amy's hubby can't come... well Neal.... you are on your own! Tom better show. We will have a car, we can find out where he lives!!!

For the record I have been bragging about taking a vacation with 5 wonderful ladies.

At the same time I'm quite scared that I won't survive the weekend.  I'm certain it will be quite more than I can handle.

I better get us to the next page....

I ran today.  I think I'm starting to get shin splints.  More of a nuisance right now than anything

I even updated the spreadsheet tonight.  Looks like I'm right on pace

Okay, time for bed.  I would say see you in the morning, but that will only happen if I have a few extra minutes before work.  And that requires me to not steal every last available minute of sleep.

How long am I required to rest for? I don't do well with resting...can I swim tomorrow? I also need to start strength...and I'm so doing some zumba...maybe that will help my glutes out...its my SSZ regimen! Swim-strength-zumba. Ya!

I see I have done a crappy skim through when I was in class. Ann--sorry about your daughter! that's'pretty crazy about the tylenol/motrin shortage...Kim--yay new job! Amy was around too right! Hi Amy! My focus/memory is gone right now...

I'm reading this novel: it leaves much to be desired. Its about this vampire parasite thing in peoples blood...in Antarctica...and bringing nearly dead people back to life...I know...its pretty surprising that its not stellar literature! Haha. That was a book pick fail. Oh well. Only about 50 pgs left. It was a good plane book.

Well...its reading/bed time for me too. I get to sleep tomorrow though as I don't have class till 1. Yay! See you all in the morning!

Melindy, yes, you can swim tomorrow.

I have read you should take off anywhere from an of rest per kilometer you ran, to a day of rest per mile you ran. Take that with a grain of salt.

If you feel pretty good you could probably start running by the weekend, just an easy couple of miles. Swimming, cycling, and anything else... knock yourself out.

Day 1 of keeping the kiddo off of her feet did not go well. She wanted to go along with the boys to soccer practice. I didn't want her to go, my husband insisted he would keep her from running. I'm not sure what she did at practice but she came home limping.

Tonight she is spending the night on a recliner, or in my bed with her foot up and iced.
