Sunday
Keri's softball game had been rescheduled for 10:00 Sunday morning.
We went to the field and as we were walking in I said "hi" to people, like I normally do. The coach and his wife totally ignored me. The woman who I suspect was the other parent in the whole BS ordeal came in and she usually talks to me, she ignored me. This kind of confirmed my suspicions that they were the culprets. The thing that really pizzes me off is the non-coaches wife woman - she doesn't have a car. My husband and I have gone out of our way to pick her daughter up and take her to basketball, soccer, and softball. We gave her daughter a bat bag, and my cousin and I paid for a batting helmet for her. And this is how I get treated? There were also 2 dads, and a grandfather who WERE ACTUALLY YELLING at the girls, and being very negative in their comments, but apparently that's ok. The whole situation still upets me.
The girls played ok considering this was their first A game. Keri had several hits, several RBI's, she did get hit by a pitch so she walked to first, and she threw a runner out going to first.
Caleb went to church with the grandparents, and there was a lunch afterwards. Coming home we saw my in-laws car in the church parking lot. I was driving so I pulled in. They came over to the car and we asked if Caleb wanted to come home with us. My MIL started in on how she would never have left her kids miss church for a sporting event, and we need to tell the coach he can't schedule any more games on Sunday mornings, blah blah blah, then my FIL came over and started, too. This ticks me off. No offense to anyone here, but just because you go to church it doesn't mean you're religious, and just because you don't, it doesn't mean you aren't religous. The girl missing a Sunday isn't going to hurt anything. And for 2 people that put church above all else, my in-laws are VERY judgemental.
I was already upset about softball, they didn't help.
Caleb jumped in the car, I drove off, he put down his window, and the launch permit I got for my kayak the day before flew out the window. We stopped and tried to find it, but it was no where to be seen.
After I got something to eat I loaded up the new kayak, and headed to the park office for a new permit. A replacement cost me a grand total of $0. Yep, it cost nothing. I slapped that sticker on my kayak and went out for a spin. Kayaking was the best part of my weekend. The new kayak glides through the water. Compared to the effort it takes to move my XP through the water, this was nothing. I also saw a third beaver dam being built. This one is WAY bigger than the other 2. I also saw a blue heron. There were only 2 other boats on the water. It was very peaceful, and just what I needed.
