just discovered the best italian place here, in a strip mall right by where i work.  toscano.  yummmm.  i don't even look at their menu, ALWAYS order the specials.  so good!

(and pretty russian waitresses, figured you pervs would like that)

You need to find a German place so you can practice your small talk

Ummm...Address please! I used to go to a Lebanese place in dahtahn Pikksberg which had belly dancers at lunch every Friday. Nothing like baba-gahnoush and entertainment.

i was talking to a lady on sunday that used to live in pittsburgh and she was telling me about that place too!  i've never even heard of it.  she said dahntahn and belly dancers, has to be the same restaurant!!!

Shaved off the goatee and 'stache. Odd being clean shaven again since I've had the facial hair since 2010. It was getting tired and more grey than brown, so, time to go.

Hi TAN!

What is the etiquette when dealing with a laundry room for an apartment building?  I went down at 7:30 this morning to get laundry done first thing and all washing machines (all 3 of 'em) are full as are all dryers (yep, three of those too).  The stuff in the dryers are stone cold and the stuff in the washing machines has clearly been sitting there for hours.

Is it cool to move the stuff so that I can use the machines?

I'd get trash bags and leave a note on it that says this was in the washer/dryer this morning.

Problem is that some folks could take it out on your stuff if you're not in there to watch it.

You could pay it forward and fold the dryer stuff and pay to dry the wet clothes.  But then you're incentivizing more of the same behavior...

Not a bad idea with the trash bags, but I'm sorry, but I'm not about to pay for someone else's laziness.  Those clothes were clearly left overnight judging by how dry they already are.

I'd like to think that just by moving items out of machines that wouldn't be grounds for someone to take it out on my stuff in some way, but I guess it could happen?

I just tried "The Best Cleaners" in my new hood, very, very, scary but very affordable.  I had to knock to get in, and the door has bars and a few chains (made me feel like my clothes where safe inside) and for 3 pairs of dress slacks, 3 blouses and 3 dresses my bill was $27.80, cash only and no change....so $30.00.  Normally this was a $50 bill in my old hood.  Though, I was extemely worried, I would never see my clothes again, it all worked out and the lady called me by my first name when I walked in......I will go there again!!!

Wow. I have a pile of 4 suits to be done at 12.50/each and 6 shirts at $1.50/each to go. I need to save up to get them done, but I do get a 10% pre-paid discount if I pay at drop-off.

Right!!!  My dresses are usually 10.50 a piece.

I thinking each drop off will be an adventure and send the kids down, most-likely not an option but cost effective!

When do you drop-off/pick-up dry cleaner stuff?  On the way to work? On the way home?  I can't figure out the most efficient time.  I drop-off one weekend, pick-up the next.

Usually Sunday AM on my way to the grocery store. Typically 1 suit, 2 shirts in and out each trip. But I've been travelling crazy lately and it's gotten out of control.

I need a government bail-out for drycleaning.
