Hey kids! What's shakin?

I'm planning on 30-40 mins on the track today since its pretty ugly outside - 53F, cloudy, winds 20+ mph gusting over 30 but it appears the rain has FINALLY gone. Then its 10 miles tomorrow and another 3 on Sunday. That should put me at just about 82% of goal for the month with 10 days to finsh 14 miles. Think I can do it? Actually, I'm going to shoot for more like 90 miles this month (biggest ever) and then take an easy week the first week of Nov and then ramp it up again thereafter.

Hope you all have a great weekend (and run LOTS)!

Hey Matchy!!

No doubt about that!!!

Nice new kicks you got there, Low! I need to start shoe shopping, too. I'm finding it very difficult to locate a pair of my current shoe in my ginormo size. I hear there's lots of differences between LY's Brooks Adrenaline and this year's. Gotta go to my trusty run store and see if I can go with the new model. The old one has sure been good to me with about 1000 miles between three pair of them.

Good luck with your first 20 miler this weekend. Mine's another 7 months or so away, God willing.

Thanks!!

I tried on the Adrenalines yesterday.  I really liked them but the toe box was just a little too tight.  I ended up with the Saucony Trigons.  Just the right fit!

So the Trigons are Saucony's version of a stability training shoe? I sure like the looks of those. Yellow and black is always a great color scheme.

Yeah,  they are their stability.  The picture is deceiving though.. they're yellow and navy.

I've been lucky.  I found some Mizuno Wave Inspire 9s a while back, turns out they work out beautifully for my feet.  Currently in the 10s.  Nice, neutral feet.  Which is odd, because I always thought my feet landed on the outer edges of my heels.  Apparently, that's just walking.

Well, good people, I'm out for the weekend.  LCT, I'll answer your question later.  Remind me on Monday, though, I will forget.

Heh, when i went in to find new shoes a few years ago, the guy asked about my feet. i told him i had very flat feet, but he insisted he had to see me walk. i got my left shoe halfway off my foot before he started laughing at how ridiculously flat my feet are. i overpronate so much that it's kind of gross. Custom orthotics are my friends...

I ran my 8k Cross Country Race today and had a blast. I think I like racing this distance and very much enjoyed my first Cross Country Event.

With Warmup and Cooldown, I logged 10 miles. (4 Mile Warmup and 1 Mile Cooldown)

I am actually about 10 miles ahead of plan for the week.

Let the "Sandbagger Taunts" begin

Managed to get out and do my planned run today. It is very hot, dry and windy but at least the smoke from the fires (Fanned by the wind) has not reached here yet.

ELSO was burning high in the sky when I finished my run up right at 12:00PM.

Did 16 miles @ Long Run Pace with the last 4 miles @ Marathon Goal Pace.

Stay hydrated and train safe out there today Peeps
