Artemis - 2009-09-19 9:27 AM I made it through my 10 mile run today.  I'm happy.  The last two miles were tough, but I think that's part because I didn't run this week and part because I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night.
wow...I have never run that far.  I hope you get more sleep tonight.

QFT

I'm just home (at 2 past midnight...) from my first ever race!
I finished which is more than some people had predicted (thanks parents and friends)
i came 26/77 finishers, 2nd in age group (out of 3..., the 1st place being the race winner who was some 15 mins faster than me)
Swim went well, 24/77, bike was amazing, i powered through it, and kept a 30 kph pace the entire bike , which meant i was 7th or 8th in the bike, but i need to learn to run, as i took some 18 minutes for a 2.5k wog. i managed to pick up a stitch after about 400 yards and failed miserably , was also quite slow in transitions :\ but that can be easily improved on!
i'll write a proper report tomorrow but i'm dozing off at the moment!

apologies for random spasm of stuff lol. i wrote that whilst falling asleep and whilst waiting for he tv program to finish so its probably non coherant!

Sounds like you did great! Finishing in the top third of the field - woo hoo!!! Nice work!!!

Will keep an eye out for the RR!

Hi C!!!

No, but I told her she isn't allowed into CoJ!

That's OK. I don't think I should be allowed in CoJ either.

It's raining here. I'll probably go out for a wog later though. (Because I haven't done anything in a few days, and am starting to feel slug-like.)

How was your ride?

Toads. Both of you.

Speaking of toads, my entire backyard is flooded. It would be a great place for toads....

I have a very gray 40 mile ride this morning.  I am not sure what I should wear...

Well, you can either follow the trend and go with gray... Or you can fight the trend and go with magenta and orange. (Yes, together. You're fighting a trend, remember?)

I like the magenta and orange idea.
