Yeah, I almost came to you for shopping advice Hilde! It was fun dressing so out of character - I really got into it Laleh (my trainer) would have been proud!

No workouts for me since Wed. Between one kid coughing one kid with stomach pain and bowel issues and myself feeling congested and coughing... I am just run down. To top it off I have been at the hospital since about 4 pm yesterday with Rya for her stomach pain. She has a bowel blockage and they are working to clear it with mega laxatives Looks like it's going to be another full day here as well.Catch up with you all when we get home.

Hey Marsha...  That doesn't sound like it wouldn't be very fun.  I hate hospitals.....ugh....hang in there and hope she gets better quickly.  I'm working on a home project all weekend, so I'm busy busy building a bathroom in my basement!  I did carry 10 sheets of drywall downstairs...ugh..that was no fun.  I think I've also gone up and down the stairs about 40 million times!!!

Get better soon!~

Okay, well it's Sunday night and I didn't quite get as far as I wanted....great progress, but slightly short of my goal.  I wanted to have mud on the walls.  I'm probably about 4 hours away from that.  Here is a pic where I left off last night (Saturday).  At this point all the plumbing was complete and tested.  The kids thought it was cool to use a new toilet...we all took turns..haha....Good thing all my plumbing into the ejector pit worked like planned too...whew. - that would have been a nasty mess..eek.

Anyhow, if I get the strength to go downstairs before bed I'll take a new one from today...most drywall is done and the electric is all stubbed out...waiting for ceiling and connection to the breaker...soon...even lights!!!

Wifey left me today for Brazil...again.....I have the kids till Friday...I'm gunna go crazy!!!  She's been gone since 4:00 tonight....it's 8:00 and I'm about ready to duct tape them to the wall..haha...

Anyhow, bed soon.

Not too bad considering I started with a piece of concrete ....everything else is/was all MEEEEE.

HOPE YOU CAN SEE THIS??????  DUNNO

Oh Marsha, you've had quite the Mommy experience!!  Hope your kiddo is better soon, bowel blockage is no fun for anyone!  Does she have the tube up her nose into her tummy??  And you deserve some down time, so rest and get better !!

Yes, Hilde, down the nose and into the tummy Ugh. We're so glad to be home but the whole experience has left her a total !  (cry, cry) when will I have my sweet baby girl back????? (SAD!)

Turtle - how was the rest of the walk? I loved the experience when I did it back in DC/Baltimore - it was such an emotional high!

Wilson, I can't see the picture either

I am still busy "hacking up a lung" today but I am so stressed and home with 2 kids for the day - I soooo need to get out for a run or something. I am sure it will make me cough more but I need the mental escape. I'm going to try to get out while they are napping.

No pic for me either, Wilson, you big tease, you!

Hope you got out for a run or at least a walk (to prevent lung-barfing), Marsha! You've really been put through the wringer recently-- hope you got a chance to clear your head a bit...

Wilson, nice job on the DIY project! Marsha, hope the little one's feeling better and you haven't gone out of your mind being stuck in the house!

I'm home recovering from the 3-Day. My legs and feet are fine, it's just that $%@ cold I was fighting off last week. Somehow, walking 60 miles and sleeping in a tent when it was 43 degrees didn't help that any!

The walk was fun, inspiring, hilarious, moving, and exhausting. Just like last year! This year my BF and I did it with a team; here's a pic of us with some hunky firefighters:

That's me, 5th from the left, trying not to look so tall! This was taken on Day 1, so we were still pretty fresh!

IronMan AZ is next week; when people were starting to drag in the late afternoon, it put things into perspective that if this was IronMan, we would have just been STARTING our marathon! It's still inconceivable to me how people can do that. Along the way I ran into a guy in an IM 70.3 shirt. I asked him if the walk was better, worse, or about the same as a 70.3. He said much worse!! Which is good, because I just signed up for a 70.3 next April!! He then went on to tell me how God-awful the half was, but that "it's really rewarding, you have to do it!" <sigh> what have I done??

Wilson, my bathroom is showing it's age, and Arizona sure is nice this time of year...

Oooh Tammy, Love your group with the hunky firefighters!!  Yes, you all DO look fresh, you should have one at the very finish, ha ha!!  Love the shirt logo ... "Treasure your chest"... I'm sure Wilson loves that too!!!  In fact, I heard he's volunteered to PAINT those shirts on y'all next year !

GREAT pics, gang! Wilson, the bathroom looks like it'll be GORGEOUS...and conveniently located right next to your P90X kingdom! Tammy, that's a FABULOUS shot of you with the hunky firefighters... and CONGRATS on signing up for your first 70.3!! How inspiring! Which race will it be? Do tell-- I've been idly contemplating the possibility of doing one next summer, too...hey, gotta use that marathon training for SOMETHING, right? Laughing

Alex, I'm doing the Marquis on 4/10; it's a new one here in Phoenix. Perfect timing for me, since I like to train in the winter. We missed most of the fall season after accidentally draining our only lake- - oops! So several new races have been added for the spring. You should definitely consider doing a 1/2 - after marathon training, it'll be cinchy!
