Ah, I have the opposite going on...I figure the nastier my house, the more likely my mom will be to volunteer to clean it.

Drive-by nibbin'ing - on my way to crack a nice bottle of wine and watch some B-Ball with Sugar Daddy.

Oh and I'm here now. I've been cleaning the dining room and kitchen. All that's left is the living room and bathrooms to do tomorrow.

Cleaning is the biggest hassle about having company come over.

having company for dinner?

Yep. We (or rather mostly me) are making Easter dinner for friends.

that's nice - what are you making?

I learned early on to save something for my mother to do. No matter how well I cleaned, she always found something. So...I would just let her know when she got there that I could really use her help doing "whatever it was I saved for her" We both were happy.

You could always play, bang the ceiling with a broom handle, and then act innocent when they comment on it. Of course all the little black dots on your ceiling would give you away. LOL

Your broom handle leaves black dots on the ceiling?  You could rubber band a wash rag around it, of course that might defeate the purpose.

Afternoon Nibbs!!!!

Wow, sounds like lots going on... Tat's, snow, canceled flights, and house cleaning (of which I have no idea what that is )

Let's see... today I went to the accountant (got shamed for not opening kid's 529 plan yet), got the lamb leg for Sunday (of which I have no idea of what to do with), went to church (for way too long), came home and started sewing (mother says I'm sacreligious for sewing on Good Friday - spfft!)

Now I'm home alone with boys....

Hmm... notice something missing from my day, yeah, never got my bike ride in. ;(

you guys are too funny!

I'm usually not around much - so I don't notice all of the noises from upstairs - it's like she's doing aerobics or something

Yes, I went out yesterday for almost an hour.  Really just putzed around the neighborhood.  Got out on a few major thoroughfares and felt pretty nervous.  It was 4 o'clock and traffic was picking up.  Managed to get my arms into aero for about a block, but quickly pulledout when I saw a dip in the road.

THANKS!!!  I noticed that my fingers were going numb from gripping the bars so tight, at least when I get in aero the feeling starts to come back.  Not good when your fingers are numb and you can't grasp the brakes.

Funny, though, my shifters are at the end of the aero bars.... I rode the entire time without changing gears b/c of my instability on the bike.

that looks perfect!

Still think it's perfect? LOL

Funny you should post this. My coach sent me a link about this ride last week. She thinks I should do it. She says it's such a fun ride. She has such a twisted sense of fun.

You should still be able to shift one-handed from the hoods. Practice this the next time you're out. I would say being able to shift is more important than getting aero! I am right-handed, so if I'm not in the aerobars I reach across them to shift into the big or little ring! If I'm aero, I can shift with my left hand.
