Artemis - 2008-10-22 6:04 PM Hi everyone! How's it going tonight?

Hi Jen!

It was nasty hot during my run today and I was thinking of you!

Wait, that's all in a good way.

Nasty hot sounds icky for running. Here it's been kind of cold.

I think you were doing six miles or something and it was 85 or 86 out.

I did six miles today and it was bleedin' well 92 degrees.

This week it's been in the 60s for the high and around 30 or 40 when I wake up. It's going to be cold when I run on Sunday.

you will heat up the course!

what are you going to wear?

shorts, tshirt, and a long-sleeved tshirt I can get rid of.  Probably also some disposable gloves.

they usually sell them at the expo for a dollar or two.  The cheap gloves at gas stations or home depot also work out pretty well

That and animal avatars-she really likes donkeys and frogs-as well as being a typical cat+dog fan.

Seeeeeeee???  More reason to have Frog avatars!!!! C'mon now...

I'm still trying to understand the frogs..................

Well, somehow the "muppet revolution" came up.  Those muppets made me stupidly happy... loved seeing the friends list with all the muppets .  So we were trying to think of something new for an avatar revolution (the high school pics didn't do it for most of us that were discussing).  Since I've been a little stressed, fatigued and sicky-poo lately and we all know that my stuff is fueled by stress and fatigue, and frogs make me happy... which means less stress, well, voila!!  I changed my av to include a frog... then Sal and Bill did... among others.  So there ya have it.

Mine will be up Nov. 1st. I am thinking of merging the old and the new.

givemashot - 2008-10-22 2:41 PM Ahhh winter. The high today here is forecasted to be about 55 degrees. No snow, though. But I'm ok with that. I'm sure we'll have plenty in the valley soon, and it will stick around until the end of March. So, yeah, no snow for now is a good thing, IMO.

hmmm

tinkerbell and frogs - doesn't seem to be a likely combination, but I'll do my best

Why don't you pull a Melissa and shave while posting on BT. Occurred somewhere in the early twentie of first 75 pages of the Horny melon thread.

Currently, I'm shaving my legs. I'm afraid that I won't have time tomorrow, and my mom already gives me a hard tome about having "hairy" legs when my tri friend, Dave, has clean shaven legs.

LOL!! ok first of all, how are you doing that at the computer? i mean, even if you have a laptop, what the heck??!!
and second, your GUY friend has smoother legs than you??!! i LAUGH!! (but then, yesterday i got a massage, and forgot to shave, so i'm sure she noticed) still, super funny mental picture i have of you shaving at your computer!!

I would never shave at the computer! The computer just happens to be sitting on the bathroom counter-right next to the sink.

Sweet! another great top post.

Candy Corn is EVIL!

I forgot that it is on my foods I will not touch list.  The others are brussel sprouts and blue candy.

Mornin', Sunshines!

Beth... the frogs have been a joke among a few very cool people in my life.  I know how it started (my mom and I used to try to find the most obnoxious cards to exchange and noticed that they frequently had frogs or toads on them and so then started seeking those out) but not quite sure how it grew to the silliness it has.  For the last many, many years the frog thing has just been there and has grown from cards to just about anything you can imagine.  Sometimes, the tackier the frog you can find, the better, but we also do sometimes get each other nice things that have the little buggers on them (see one of my favorite tea pots below).

Anyway, the big deal frog is a teeny tiny silver one that I carry with me everywhere (even if I'm on my bike) that my BFF gave me when I was going through some pretty serious medical stuff.  She attached this huge meaning to him and gave a big speech about it (it was hilariously funny, she made it sound so serious... this frog was gonna just make it all turn around ).  He kind of became my mascot for the times when I'm really ill... and like the "stay away" charm for the times inbetween.  Silly stuff, but at the end of the day, it's really about laughter and friendship.

No don't go expecting me to be all mushy and nice like this ever again.  Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I've never really understood the draw of candy corn.  Despite my passion for pumpkin desserts, I'm actually not real big on sweets.

Gimme some Utz Old Bay seasoned potato chips any day of the week, though .
