Hey guys!

Been quiet over here lately.  Did everyone have a nice Christmas?

How is training going.  Those of you on 20 week plans, week 1 is right around the corner!

Gearing up for Monday, Day 1 of my 20 weeks. Tried to stay fit swimming 5 or 6K a week and keeping the running frequency and medium length runs once a week. Bike has been neglected, as always. These are my training times for December, post yours!!

December's totals:
Bike:11h 17m 41s  - 201.64 Mi
Run:13h 30m 23s  - 99.99 Mi
Swim:4h 25m 05s  - 16000 Yd

I've been thinking that I want to do (two total) three week base cycles with one week recoveries, two cycles of build (same routine), peak, three weeks of gradual taper and race! I am also doing Ironman Puerto Rico 9 weeks out from the race (prior). I just consider this of course another training day.

Here are my numbers so far:

December's totals:
Bike:10h 16m  - 182.9 Mi
Run:12h 12m 33s  - 79.61 Mi
Swim:10h 30m  - 22600 Yd

I started on a 24-week plan Dec 6th so I have 3 weeks in already.  I got my annual head cold/sinus infection/bronchitis thing the 2nd week of training and hopefully that is out of the way now!  It really hurt my time in the saddle.  Did 3 hours on the trainer on Sunday while watching football.  No way 5hr + rides will happen on the trainer so it better start warming up quick Smile

I've got you all beat in the pathetic December training category. I'm relying on all you to tell me how much of a BT disgrace I am so it'll motivate me to put up some real numbers in January. Feast your eyes on this garbage:

December's totals:
Bike:1h 00m  - 19 Mi
Run:1h 57m  - 14 Mi
Plyometrics:15m

Week 1 of this training plan is going to suck big Texas-style balls. I'm actually excited to feel some pain though. =)

I do plan to ride my trainer tonight. If all goes well, I'll hit over a full hour on the bike this month - yay!

229/18 = 12.5 mph

I'd be more worried about bike speed than running a marathon 4.5 months out from race.

You guys are making me feel better.  When I first saw the numbers some were posting I was getting a little nervous.

I have been very consistent for the past two weeks.  Did some tweaking to my training plan and I think that helped.  Mentally, I was having a tough time even contemplating 2-a-day workouts, and so instead of doing just one, I did neither.  Some tweaking and now I only have 1 a day.  Maybe that means a little slower finish time, but in the scheme of things that's OK.  I would rather know that I can commit to working out once a day than miss workouts.

That does not make a lot of sense once I read it, but it works for me!

Didn't have a speed sensor on my wheel for any trainer rides until a week ago.  So 6.5 hrs without any distance....I'll be ok, not fast but ok.

I trained more in December... than some of you, and I'm not even doing an IM OR a HIM in 2011.

Oh well I'll be at IMTX to cheer people on!

I went to the pool in Conroe yesterday for Adult swim technique 1 on 1.  I just wanted to see if my stroke had any major flaws so maybe I could fix them and swim 1 day a week (sorta serious).  I swam a 50m warm up and he said I looked pretty good.  I guess you get what you pay for.
