Isn't it heartwarming to see how we have inspired the other team to a posting frenzy?  Innocent

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-07 4:49 PM OK - I went to get my bike set for commuting tomorrow and I had a flat?????

Really come on now that is more than enough for the year!

Next year I do a flat tracker along with Commuter Tracker

With all the riding that you do, I bet that flat tracker count would be right up there!  I wonder what your average flat to mileage ratio is.

kcarroll - 2010-10-07 5:33 PM My interviews went really well. I think I will know in a few weeks if this is going to work out. The only downside is the commute. It is 1 hour 15 mins each way. On the upside, hours are flexible so I don't have to be there early. And, it is in oncology. Tough field to break into.

Glad your interviews went well.  Keeping the Ghoulie fingers crossed for you!

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-08 6:22 AM Kim & Melindy - how do you give up something so awesome as bread????

I need help on my diet - the scale keeps going up and that is not good!

Same here, Bill.  I stepped on it for the first time since last spring and was not impressed.

Its not so much giving it up as it is apparently making me sick. So...bye bye wheat and gluten? I'll have to do a gluten free baking storm this weekend...I just want a freaking sandwich.

I also feel the need to lose about 20lb before IMLP next year...:S...ughhhh...I feel gluten free living with help get this in check...as I have discovered in the last 4 days...it is really difficult to mindlessly eat while gluten free. And I am going to attempt to follow the Canada food guide. With a few more protein servings for my AG....

This is me attempting to put to use my new amazing nutrition knowledge from last week. And to be less of a hypocritical eater.

mndymond - 2010-10-07 5:18 PM I just learned that I get to have cornbread...and oatmeal...

Gluten free is looking less bleak...

I thought cornbread has flour in it along with the cornmeal?  Maybe certain versions of it don't have flour?

I have been looking at slow cooker, gluten free recipes for our company tomorrow.  It helps that rice doesn't have gluten.

I am thinking slow cooked chicken cacciatore

Yeah, weight control is not easy.  I have lost quite a bit this year, but now I seem to be stalled out.  I would love to lose about 5 more.

wgraves7582 - 2010-10-08 8:35 AM You guys have me going on the GF diet - I am going to do some reseach

I have put 6 pounds on in 3 weeks - not good!

Haha. I'd say the only thing that is really different for me right now is I really have to check labels....and it rules out a lot of food currently in the house. and fast food---sorta getting slighted right now...Tim Hortons......haha. Which is good. Makes you plan your food out I guess...which is my problem, because I could just go buy stuff if I was hungry at the Tim's outside the lecture hall...no more of that I guess...

I do feel a bit better already. My body seems less angry. But if you arn't gluten intolerant I'm not sure what effect it will have.

ironannekidd - 2010-10-08 4:58 AM Ok boys, I'm out of here in a few minutes. I have an impatient 7 year old rushing me out the door. The bus doesn't come for another 25 minutes but she wants to say good-bye to Grandma and Pop before she gets on the bus.

I'll give you my report this evening.

I'm out!

Good luck today, Ann!!

kcarroll - 2010-10-08 5:07 AM So I had made a nasty discovery this morning. Going to have to clean out a couple shelves in the kitchen pantry. Apparently a can of black beans has been leaking. Big mess.
