Funny I was watching a man who was raising bears just the other day....he was going up against big brown bears to protect them....he had no gun....just a big hunking monster pepper spray....and he let one of those bears have it...and I have never laughed so hard...watching that bear run off....and the man with the two cubs running just as fast in the other direction! so...be careful darling and do get some spray....what elevation are you running to deal with bears? you must be up there! |

(i've also had a SERIOUS run in with a racoon) i saw the cougar the one time, usually i just see deer and elk, but in the spring we've seen black bears up in the park and sometimes they come down here where the houses are to eat out of garbage cans and bird feeders. yeah yeah yeah, i know, i REALLY live in the sticks!!  we're just about two miles from the olympic national park, and it's AWESOME to run in there, but i'm a big 'fraidy-chicken about wildlife!! LOL |
