No takers on this?!?! Too bad he didn't try earlier. If he did and made it, he would be coming to Chicago this weekend for our home opener. It's hard to believe that his experience as a kid would translate into the kind of skill level to compete as a pro. I think it would make the league look bad if he just walks right into playing time. |

But what he would lack is touch. |

But what he would lack is touch. Well I wouldn't say laughing stock--I agree that's far fetched. I think when Jordan and Prime Time played baseball, they never made it to The Bigs. Can't remember for sure, but I don't think they even started at the AAA level. Again this is so far in the past I can't remember for sure, and am too lazy to google it, but I think Bo Jackson was the only one to play both in the NFL and MLB. And training with clubs and playing for them are two different animals. In any event, I guess the PR could be a good thing. No such thing as bad publicity, Yes? |

I think it is interesting to see which of the Spanish team to face the last year defending champion in the final match. There is still a lot of footy to be played and there have been some pretty interesting upsets. Do you honestly think that Inter will make it to the final? They barely squeaked in as it is. And they better not look past Shalke or they will be in a world of hurt. |

Champion 15211 Southern Chicago Suburbs, IL | Subject: RE: Any REAL football fans here? Interesting weekend of International Play. Mexico absolutely dismantled Paraguay. I saw bits and pieces of the match on a guys telly while I was freezing my backside off watching the fire win 3-2. US played a pretty poor first half against a full strength Argentina side but Bradley made an interesting sub which actually made a big difference and they were able to pull out a tie at 1-1 and actually put enough pressure on in the second half to have possibly won. England handily dealt with Wales but that wasn't much of a surprise. It is Sunday morning and I'm watching Brazil play Scotland early in the match. Have a good week y'all. |

yup. The US is definitely going to have its hands full with Mexico this year in the Gold Cup. US is a solid team but its best thing is defense. tough as nails down there, but it does not the greatest attack IMO. we shall see. I haven't liked how Mexico had been handling itself the last few months but this game gave me a good surprise. |

But with the injection of pace and desire to score from the likes of Davies (if he ever comes back), Buddle and now Agudelo, we may have more offense than we have had in the past. And frankly, 'Gooch has not been the same since his knee injury. I don't think our back line is nearly as solid as it used to be. |

Dear Mr. Crowny2, In what term you define Inter is "barely squeaked in"? Having to lost at home on first leg and managed to won after fall behind 2 goals, I would not call that "barely squeaked in". There are many surprises in the team as there is in magic store. |

There are many surprises in the team as there is in magic store. That is how you see it. I see it differently. I see it as a team that pulled it out of their back side. Again. And that will only get you so far. I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time and won't be the last, but I just do not see them getting past the next round. The one thing working in their favor is that Schalke have a new coach so who knows how they will respond. |

I'm telling you. Shalke is a force and Inter is NOT as good as they could be. Oh, and Crouch is out in the 15th minute for Spurs on 2 yellows. Not going to make it easy for them. |
