I would still love for all of us to get together for a race.

SPEAKING OF WHICH, Abbie needs some encouragement to come down here and do the Frederick Half (or full, I suppose).  She knows I am doing it, and you guys talked of doing it, but she needs some nudging. :-)

SCamp07 - 2010-03-03 7:09 PM I agree with all of you.

Thank you all, I really appreciate it.  I am just glad I had enough knowledge to help people. :-)

I try to be positive, it wasn't that long ago when I was in the same spot. :-)

Oh I forgot to ask, what is going on in other forums?  Is it on regular forums or mentor ones?

Looks like I am in for the Baltimore Marathon as well, but for a slower group since it is a month after Ironman Wisconsin.

The "issues" are in the Tri Talk and COJ forums.  Several of the threads were pulled, but there is a sticky in the Tri Talk forum that sort of sums things up.  There are also offshoots like "what does post count mean to you" in COJ and such.  I'm not on either "side."  I'm just happy that we all get along here in our own little mentor thread.

Are you definitively doing Wisconsin?  Go you!  All of us doing Frederick would be a great idea...if I could run.  I'll know more next week, but even just aquajogging last night caused pain, so I'm a little worried about my ability to do a half, since I don't think I've done more than 4 miles at a stretch since October.  I feel really behind in running and biking, but running especially.  :-(  I guess I could probably make it, but it wouldn't be pretty.  I don't think we're doing Baltimore since its relatively close to IMFL.

I also want to thank Dave for mentoring this group. It was really inspirational to me over the last year. Its great to be in a group with people experiencing the same things you are. I found a wealth of knowledge from everyone in this group. Even know we look at each others logs inspires me to workout sometimes even if i dont want to.

I WILL come down for a race this year! I cant wait to meet everyone in person.

I hope everyone was able to get out and enjoy this beautiful weekend. I was finally able to run outside for the first time this season!! Its not as warm as Maryland but it was still nice!

Hey guys!  I know I've been all doom and gloom lately with my injury, but I wanted to share some good news.  My swim is sucking much less than before!  J watched me that one day and I made some small changes to my stroke (actually doing something productive with my left arm) and it's made a ton of difference.  I've also increase my stroke rate some, and although it seems I'd be working harder, it really is easier (and I get to breathe more often).  yeah!  Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the awesome weather!

ETA:  I had my first ride outside today for two hours in the sun and it was awesome!  I'm sure J is as happy as I am, because I'm a much happier, less bitchy person now.  ;-)

Way to go Becky!  If you can't run much, you can replace it with cycling and swimming and do pretty well.  You saw how it worked for my Disney program. :-)

Yes I am signed up for Ironman Wisconsin, so there is a really high chance that I am doing it. :-)  Something would have to happen in order for me not to do it.  Even lack of training, would not prevent me from starting.  I have friends doing it, so there's extra incentive to do it.

Congrats to all on last weekends triathlon!

I am cast free! It does not feel great to walk yet...but i did a mile today. Biking feels real good and i did two miles. I cant run for 2 weeks! That will give me about 10 day before my triathlon! YIKES!  I have been swimming for about 2 weeks which is my biggest challenge.
