serendipity - 2009-10-02 11:39 AM Just went to contract on a house.  Same town we are in now, but bigger and some nice amenities like running water in the winter (don't ask) and closets.  I love getting another house but hate the process of buying it.  Stress and aggravation.  Looks like I'll be relying on BT and training for sanity again.

Yikes!  Good luck!

I vote that it is. I have so much freaking laundry to do this weekend. I wish I could do that while working out - it would make things much easier, but I don't think the family would appreciate me dripping sweat on their clean clothes. Grr...

So...I have been really bummed because I am going to have to miss out on a 15K I wanted to run on Nov. 1 because of oral surgery.  I have been trying to find a fall race that I can do that is longer then 8K...So there is a 10K on 11/22 but I also wanted to run an 8K on 11/26...Is that too much in 4 days?

Good:  got the drivers license renewed.  Bad:  took over 2 hours.  The ratio of DMV employee to customer was at least 1:1 and it still too over 2 hours!  Oh well, on a positive note don't have to go back there until 2013.

The guide dogs were out today.  I live in a town with a school for the blind and a guide dog training program.  Love watching them during their ventures all over town.  Very, very cool. Maybe that will be my next career.

kromanowski - 2009-10-02 3:13 PM So...I have been really bummed because I am going to have to miss out on a 15K I wanted to run on Nov. 1 because of oral surgery.  I have been trying to find a fall race that I can do that is longer then 8K...So there is a 10K on 11/22 but I also wanted to run an 8K on 11/26...Is that too much in 4 days?

Katie,

I don't think it is too much - 6 miler and a 4+ miler doesn't seem too bad to me but I am weird when it comes to distance.

You could use the 10K as an easy run and race the 8K or do the 10K as a race and recover with the 8K (Turkey Trot I assume so if it is like buffalo and real crowded you cannot do a fast time anyways and just have fun withe festivities)

Especially since it is over 1 month away.  Build up to the 10K if you need to and then have fun.

So after all that - I say go for it.  But I am not a trainer and I did not sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night either

Thanks Bill...That is kind of what I was thinking, but wanted to make sure I wasn't delusional.
