Subject: RE: Ghoulie Azzatar challenge- do it or else!!Ann, Your day yesterday sounded great. How fun to hear all those kids stories. I love how they think! Sending you good ju ju for your daughter. You will find the key as long as you all are looking! My step son had such difficulty reading! He was tested for everything and nada, but there was a big ole problem none the less. Turns out, one of the problems was he was convinced that he couldn't do it. The more he tried the more he couldn't. I spent hours showing him he could. We read everything, with bribes on my part. Advertisements, the words on commercials, books, magazines, menus at retaraunts- (tho those are difficult- lots of weird descriptive words that are unfamiliar to kids ). he still has difficulty. He reads for fun but it takes him a loooongg time to finish a book. He now knows that that is just fine. (He is teaching math to high school kids now ). I guess I helped cause when your step mom says you are okay, then you must be. Step moms are evil- everyone knows that ! |
