I think I am hoping for a slight south wind on race day.  temps at 75 degrees.  where do I place my request?

When you say "slight", do you mean 5mph?  Cause I'd be cool with that.

anything under 10 mph!!!

I'm SO over the wind this spring!  There are times I have felt like I'm rolling backwards.

Hoping and praying for little wind at CdA.

I hear ya, I was starting think I am crazy. Maybe it's always been this windy and I just haven't noticed.

With as much wind as we have had this year I am just planning on racing in it.....that way I won't be disappointed come race day.Innocent

Cool Breeze fellow shredder, at my age though I am more of a long boarder now, I have had my time in the green room, and if it's perfect I can visit again. Still love Charging

I would be estatic with 7:30's for 7 miles at any time - let alone when trying ease back after being dinged up.

Hey 2012 CDA Racers - Hope everyone's training is going well and you are all ready for the Taper Madness! Looks like you won't have the ridiculous water temps we battled last year

I have a room at the Hampton Inn which is an AWESOME place to stay 1 mile from the race area, free breakfast, very IM friendly. I'm going to be releasing it and I wondered if someone needed it I will just change the reservation to your name.

It's for Wed-Mon and the rate is $299/nt for 4 of the 5 nts and 1 nt @ $149. Estimated total is $1452.

Email me - [email protected] if you'd like it

Happy racing everyone!!!

Finally, if you are not a candidate for Kona, YOU CANNOT TAKE LONG ENOUGH IN THE CHUTE!  Enjoy this time.  Slap hands. Kiss the girls. Find your loved ones and hug them. Raise your arms in glory and skip from side to side.  Do a cartwheel if you can.  THIS IS YOUR MOMENT!

Yes!!  I agree!

Biggest week of training for me this weekend, 100 mile bike, 18 mile run, and I have drill this weekend!  Did get excused to leave early tomorrow, Sunday I will just have to suck it up and start running about 1630.  Also, the weather????

Tomorrow, high of 71, 60% chance of rain, winds 10-20mph!  Sunday will be low 60's, lower chance of rain and breezy as well.  It's going to be fun....

Bike: 622 Mi

Run:  47 Mi

Swim:  31500 Yd

My run is suffering.  Struck down with ITB syndrome in mid April and can't shake it.  Felt better over the past week, then everything tightened up the other night at 3-1/2 miles and had to walk back to the start.  Hoping for some magic...

When you head out of town on 95 there is a two mile hill with a 6% grade and two other smaller hills of about the same grade. The course is not flat to say the least. I am going to coast down the hills to save my legs because you have to climb the two mile hill twice.

Actually you get to climb it 4 times because you make basically the same climb over that hill on the way back to town.  Thought I'd mention that just for a little encouragement! : )

That's great because my only flat land training has been on the trainer.  Bring on the hills!

Did my last long run before taper yesterday.  A 20 miler.  From my 3 marathons and training runs I realized it was my 10th 20+ miler.  It doesn't get any easier.  I can't figure out in my head how I am gonna go 26.2 after 112 on the bike.  Yikes I am tired!!!
