olliedawg - 2009-05-04 3:19 PM Hey Newpert... you lurking?  I wonder if the game is going to be cancelled tonight?

newest weather updates look like we should be ok, no rain till 10.  is there a phone number or something?  maybe harbor park has a better answer.

Chaderbox - 2009-05-04 3:28 PM What about the Pacific Northwest?  It's really the only place you didn't say...  Well, unless you want Alaska or Hawaii, or just out of the US.  But there are, I hear, some places in the South that are big strongholds of Northerners.  Well other than NY South (Florida) I have friends that live in Cary, NC and they say that nearly their entire subdivision is from the North.  THey go so far as to say Cary= Containment Area for Relocated Yanks.

But I always will say to go to upstate NY, especially the Finger Lakes area.  Not too far from places, nice small towns, and great wine.

I'm from Upstate NY - definitely don't want to go back there. Pretty, but not much for young, single folks.

I've though of Seattle, but it's so gloomy there...

I really want to move back to New England someday; hopefully Vermont.  Pretty expensive though.  Lots of snow... but I love that.  I figure if it is going to be cold you may as well have snow to make it worth going outside.  Lots of hills though.  I would probably have to give up riding.

seattle is awesome, i don't find it gloomy.  west coast rain is not like east coast rain.  i know that makes no sense, but its VERY different.

I went to opening day and they let everyone in, stalled for a half hour, then cancelled the game.  They just wanted everyone to buy beer and food before they were sent home.  The website said that game was on all the way up to 7 when I left the house.  You can try AM 1310.  I think that's the ESPN radio station that covers the games.

its not wet or heavy or dirty...i had a friend in college from WA who used to complain that pittsburgh rain was so wet, and i never got it till i travelled to WA for work.  pittsburgh has wet rain, WA does not.

I'm not sure about a new one but the older ones i've used are like bricks.  you could anchor a boat with one.
