Geez, I am WAY out of the loop...
Ann - sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathy to you and your families.
Phil -awesome run! So can I put my chip on you after I get off the bike?
Amy - awesome race, and Lena-truly a fantastic sherpa report!
Bryan's podium finish should count as at least two finish lines!
IMAZ 2013? -- the 2013 slate is so far completely clean. Unlike last year, when I committed to IMAZ 2012 with the IronHeart team before I had even finished my first, IMFL 2011, I have made no commitments. This year has been a roller coaster as far as training, stupid stunts, and other "impositions" so I have made no decisions so far.
As Briana said, I am "participating" in IMAZ as well (I do NOT compete!) My bib number is 2723. We also got the athlete trackers, so we will be on myathletelive.com on race day... don't worry if you see me stop for a long period of time on the run - I probably dropped some cones out of the wagon and had to pick them up again.
Speaking of the IronHeart team - we have a handful of cardiac survivor athletes doing this race. Not that any of you will be around me on the run, but you may get caught on film in the documentary www.flatlinetofinishline.com when you pass me on the bike; so don't be surprised if somebody asks you to sign a permission form
Oh, yeah - the kidney stone... surgery prevented me from participating in one scheduled century ride, but I have managed to get back on the bike. With the running I still feel some impact on the knee from the bike wreck and the lower back from the surgery, but a walk/run is still manageable.
