It's 85 here in Cleveland.  I LOVE it.  It gets rough when it hits 95+ because we don't have air conditioning (we don't live in the modern world ).

It was 66 today here (after 45 on Saturday, HUH?) and there was so much humidity I could hardly breathe ... YES BRING BACK WINTER!!!

I don't mind heat as much, but humidity kills me ... and if it stays warmer, just another adjustment period .... ARGH

I was reminded last night how awfull of a swimmer I am. First swim since September and post shoulder surgery. Shoulder felt ok. Not great but not painful. Only did 50's as I was really trying to get my breathing back. Damn breathing in the poolIs never fun. Got in roughly 1000 yards but with breaks, not all at once. It's nice to get some purple back in the training log. Iced shoulder last night so it's not too bad this morning. Have a great day

I'll have to order my copy of Chrissie's book today.

Any book recommendations for bike maintenance, handling skills, training, etc.?  I feel like i need to learn more about the bike, particularly when it comes to maintenance.  Thanks!

It doesn't compute with me either.  LOL  I sleep with a box fan 2 feet from my side the bed.  Apparently my husband likes to marinate in his sweat.  Gross.  He grew up this way; I did not.  Requirement for the new house is AC.  I won't even consider a house without it.  Only positive is that my kids and I are at the pool for 90% of the summer, so the temp of the house doesn't matter during the day.....but the nights....the nights are hell.

Glad to hear you were finally able to get to the pool.  Keep it up.  I wouldn't swim on back to back days if I were you (if I remember correctly your pool hours wouldn't allow for that anyway).  The ice was a good idea, too.  Welcome back to the pool, Jeff!!

Jeff the pool gets better or you become numb to the suck, I can't tell what's happening with me.  LOL.

Got to lift weights this morning.  First time in a while.  I have an hour plus on the trainer later.  My parents are also coming to town today.  Dad has business in San Antonio so they're staying the weekend and then he's leaving Mom here for the days he has business and will swing back through on the way home to FL.

I preordered Chrissie's book for kindle, supposed to be "delivered" on May 15th.

Today at masters I was moved up to a faster lane. Boy did they push me. It was good but I was working hard!

Crazy day yesterday!!

Got 1000 in the pool this morining a a short bike run tonight before the HAmTrek Super Sprint tomorrow!!! can't ait (525 swim , 9 mile bike, 5K) nothing but pain and suffering!!!

Tired training today!!

I had a busy day I took the day off from work to go Lobby at the State Capital in Albany for the American Heart Association. I was working to pass the CPR in School Bill. I was involved in a lacrosse accident this past June and due to that event the American Heart Association reached out to be to lobby for this legislation. As a father, Lacrosse Coach, PE teacher, and Health teacher I do think it is very important to train the next generation of recusers so that they are ready to respond in an emergency.

Here is a video link to the accident I was part of.

That is an amazing story. That family will be forever grateful for you and kudos to you for pushing for CPR to be a requirement. I am not sure how I would have reacted in that situation. I don't know if I could think straight.  Simply amazing.
