Hey gang - I've PMed people about setting goals so hopefully that'll get sorted out soon. The reason I put in the 40% rule is to pare out those who decided not to do the challenge for whatever reason. So everyone who signed up is on there for now and will stay on there (send inspires! send PMs!) until that fateful 40% cutoff.

Hey Team, you heard the woman! 40% keeps you on - we don't want to lose Don't forget to log the workouts and log them on the spreadsheet! And remember that the weeks end on FRIDAYS, and not Saturday/Sunday like some challenges have in the past.

Once I realized i'd blown my evening eating plan last night, I decided to go whole hog and really blow it. I feel a tad bit bloated right now. Today will be better. It seems to be one good day followed by one bad day. That won't get me through the challenge. So I'm committing to eating well now through Friday.

Come on Mary - you can do it!  Don't think that once you blow it that you may as well go "whole hog".  No reason to always have to start eating right at the beginning of a day - any time of the day will do!

Absolutely true, Lisa! My problems are always in the evening when willpower seems to be at low ebb. I'm working on finding other stuff to do beside lay on the couch and read. For what it's worth, I really liked all the stuff I ate last night--fruitcake, popcorn, nachos. If I'm going to blow it, the least I can do is enjoy it.Laughing Today will be better.

Well hey, at least it was tasty! I get the most disgusted when I blow my eating and it didn't even taste good.

I found that keeping frozen broccoli on hand is awesome. Dump out a bit into a bowl, nuke it for however long, then chow down. It gives the crunchy sensation, you can eat it with your fingers, you can do the mindless-munch thing, and you can essentially eat as much as you want without blowing too many calories. Plus it tastes super yummy snd you feel GOOD when you are done instead of feeling gross and let-down. That trick got me through a lot of very low willpower nights! They also have "Winter Blend" veggies, which is just broccoli and cauliflower, which would give some different flavor. If you get bored of this, mix up a blend of spices and shake it into the water when you nuke to give it some zing or zest. Plain ol' brocc works for me, but keeping it changing might help you stay on track.

Did ok tonight! I'm back on track. Now I just need to do this more than one day at a time...like maybe two days in a row!

Slugger, I'm totally impressed that broccoli and cauliflower work for you in the evening. I love them at dinner. It'll take a bit of mind-work to get them to taste as good as popcorn during my after dinner test of wills.

You can do it! Two days, here you come!

Well, you have two choices there. 1) Don't try to pretend it is any sort of substitute for popcorn. Eat it for what it is, broccoli, and enjoy it, and know that you have no extra salt, no empty calories, a boatload of vitamins, and you can control portions really easily. 2) Use popcorn seasonings (lightly, of course, and probably NOT in the water before draining!) to give that salty cheesy flavor to satisfy the junk food craving but without nearly as much damage. Don't think about what you are missing, think about how good what you are eating tastes.

Though I gotta say, individual sized air-popped popcorn with no or very light seasonings (Kettle Corn!) actually is a good snack. It's the big bag of ultra-double-movie-butter-with-cheese that'll getcha!

Another idea - I love ice cream so I save enough ww points every day to either have a weight watchers or skinny cow ice cream cone in bed at night.  Tastes awesome and guilt free cause I left room for it.

OOH! I have not see those! I will have to hunt for them, come summer. I like the mint chocolate sandwiches.

Those are my favorite skinny cow snacks.  I get them when my husband buys Drumsticks so I feel less left out.

Morning Team - how are we all doing towards the goal? I will get in another (short) trainer ride tonight before choir practice. Choir is from 7:30 to 9:30 and I got up at 4:40, so afterwards is not really a choice, cuz I might fall asleep So we'll see how much I can squeeze in beforehand - hopefully, it won't take me too long to get home. Maybe I can even sneak out early, since I came in at 8

Hey Team - I have been quite in this team forum but I am here. So far I am right on track. I need to do 22 days of 1500-1700 calories and log it and yesterday was the first day all month that I didn't make that. With my monthly friend and a bad migraine the food was out of control (and it wasn't necessarily all good). But.. I am back on track today and will make goal.

9 out of 22 days complete (as of yesterday) - #10 today.

Stacie

I'm right on track with my goal.  PT every day.  It's been tough this week as my knee has hurt a lot more and that makes it challenging to do all of the exercises.  I do as much as I can.

Just looked at our spreadsheet and we're a little low on overall percentage.  Can everyone check their totals?
