I don't know about that. I heard you were the bad influence I suppose it all depends on what you consider bad.

In davey's defense I did set him up for that.

Like that's going to happen.  Remember who you're talking to (and I don't mean Toby).

wavedog - 2008-10-02 8:34 AM Hmmm, now I am unsure. I was planning on doing Door County, but it seems like the general consensus is that SOR is a better race. Seems like I've got some serious pondering to do....

Pseudoyams is a friend to the Door County race director, I believe, and that guy runs a pretty good race. There's just many more that appears to participate in SOR.

I wouldn't knock the Door County race.

Yams, if you see this - care to elaborate? Thanks.

Okay, so I'm not Yams, but I have raced both the sprint and HIM distance of Door County.  I have not raced SOR so I can't compare the two but there are a few things that sell me on Door every year.  One: the race is always put on well!  I know Sean Ryan the race director and he also directs Cellcom Green Bay Marathon and both are beautifully run.  Two: the course is challenging but not so much that you will kill yourself on it if you trained.  And finally, about the swim, it was brutal this year, wavy and cold, but you know what, that is part of doing a triathlon outside... you just never know.  Let me know if you have any question about the race.
