Veteran 174 Columbus, GA | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread So, looks like from today through the rest of the challenge, I am scheduled for 390 minutes of biking according to my plan in 7 stages. But, I always go way over my projected goals because of all of the commuting that I do. I wouldn't be surprised if I actually get closer to 500 minutes if not more in more life12-15 stages. We'll see I guess. Pleasure to to be kicking a$$ with you guys!! |

Veteran 174 Columbus, GA | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread Hahaha...you girls a funny. Thanks for the compliments. :D To answer the question about the miles...my training plan calls for minutes on the bike so I'm not exactly sure how many miles that's going to be. Probably somewhere between 100-150 miles....probably more though because I bike a lot more than what my plan calls for. As far as more pics....hmmm....maybe I can post one more....let's see.... Good luck everyone with kicking the crap out of your goals!! |

Master 1817 Lafayette, IN | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread mmmm....burritos. I am so hungry right now and that looks way better than what I packed for dinner. Happy hump day, Team QuickStep! Hope everyone is having a good week so far. I managed to get out for a nice 1 hour and 25 minute ride today. I stopped along the way and took a few photos. Nice flat farmland to contrast all these pictures of big hills! But the pictures are still at home on the camera and I'm here at work. I'll post a little slice of Indiana when I get home tonight. |

Master 2201 Elgin, | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread Alright, I got a third stage in today. I was hoping for a longer ride, but it ended up only being 28.5min at around 7.25 mi for my commute to and from work. I was planning on riding more, but got out of work about an hour later than I thought. Maybe tomorrow I will get another stage in. |

Unless you can eat one with your @$$ firmly affixed to your saddle and turning 100rpms they are off limits. I want to be cool and say our team won this challenge. So get out there and ride. Oh got my cassette fixed...got another long ride planned for this weekend. |

Especially since this is my first one, and my wife is on another team, so it is bragging rights within the household. Edited by tlnewman30 2008-07-09 10:52 PM |

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread The threads broke away from the lock ring. I was able to back the threads out and put another one on. Good as new. I had to replace my 11 because it stripped out the inside teeth from floppng around but nothing major. Going to hit about 20 or 30 miler tonight to warm up for a long ride this weekend. I am going to hit my goal no matter what. |

Master 1688 ALSAGER, CHESHIRE. UK | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread In sympathy for the TDF riders reaching the mountains I thought I should do some more climbing of my own today. 52.6 miles, bringing in a total of 107.3miles (target 105) for the first week. 1748metres of climbing, plot below. So many nasty steep climbs.
This pic. was taken on the highest peak right up on the moors. Very windy. It's really that barren. On the top of the world.

Veteran 174 Columbus, GA | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread hey guys...I'm just a tad bit confused. Are we supposed to be going to some other place to record all of our miles or does someone else check out our logs and add up our miles for us?? Probably a dumb question but....whatever. Thanks you guys.
Cheers!! |

Cheers!! Reporting for the challenge over the next three weeks will take place in three blocks matching the Tour De France racing days. The dates are as follows: Week 1: 5th – 14th July Week 2: 15th – 21 July Week 3: 22 – 27 July Your team has a tracking spreadsheet set up and active in google spreadsheet. To open the spreadsheet click on this link: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-DIO1UFQzVKQw&... /> To login to Google Docs: Username: btchallenge Password: challengeforum You can update the spreadsheet at any time to track your own, and your teams progress. I will be grabbing each teams results to date and posting a challenge update that includes all of the teams progress and any interesting tid bits from the various team threads. This update will be posted at the end of the each reporting week listed above.
Just noticed that I've got the dates wrong. Slight adjustment coming up in a few days time then. |

Elite 2443 Athens, Georgia | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread If you are having trouble getting to the spreadsheet it could be this. You may have to take Good luck. I have a short ride tonight and a nice long one tomorrow. Just a warning there are a few teams that have completed over 30 % of their goals and one closing in on 40. I know we don't have to worry about them and just knock out our goals but just giving you guys a little motivation. Lets rock this thing. |

Champion 26509 Sydney | Subject: RE: Quickstep Team Thread Hi Team - just a quick reminder that Monday July 14th is the LAST day of week one of the challenge. It would be great if at this time you could make sure your google spreadsheet is up to date with your achieved and GOAL stages and distance/time for the week. (there are currently a few blank spaces on some of the teams) I will get an interim result up in the forum on Wednesday assuming that whatever is in your team spreadsheet is the results for your team. I have updated the spreadsheets so they are all calculating goals consistently across the board and as always if you have any questions let me know. Your team spreadsheet is here: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pfYL7DR_dx-DIO1UFQzVKQw&hl=en To login to Google Docs: Username: btchallenge Password: challengeforum
Hope everyone has had a great first week! Dont forget to keep supporting and inspiring your team mates - make sure you all keep in touch! 2 weeks left! (and feel free to stir up the other teams a bit too) |
