I was agreeing that Winneconne is/was easy and suggesting it as a good swim for a first-timer. I would definitely NOT want to do any part of Lake Michigan (bay or not) for a first time tri. Yeah, I did misunderstand it....thought you were saying Oshkosh just as intimidating as the bay. Not that it's a big deal in the first place, but I did misinterpret what you wrote. I did my first tri and first OWS ever last year, the SOR 70.3, in Lake Michigan, with rough waters. It was daunting and very tough. But, I wouldn't recommend many first timers to do something like that. I'm just a stubborn Donkey. |
