ebshot - 2008-12-01 7:51 PM I think there is something wrong with me.  It is 7:50 and I am ready for bed.  I don't get why I'm so tired.

You have 3 kids, nuf said.

Heh, been there, done that - still tired

wine, you need wine!

Wine makes everything better doesn't it!

it does indeed

vodka will work in a pinch as well

Vodka (out of the freezer), Lemon and lime drunk from a Martini glass...

And bubbles are ALWAYS an option.... (maybe thats just me

bubbles as in champagne?

Hey - I'm ready for bed myself. Of course though, I've had some crazy sleepless night the past few days. The first one was good. The next two were can't-deal-with-the-crap ones. Sounds like an Advil PM night for me tonight just to be sure.

Isn't it funny how you can always manage to deal with the good kind of sleepless night, but the can't-deal-with-the-crap ones just totally wipe you out?

My sleeping issues are jet lag. I'm soooooo ready for bed, but feel I should do a trainer ride first. Ugh.

I'm training for a 1/2 Mary in Jan or Feb - going to do the race with Kristin (lazymarathoner), looking very much forward to it!

SInce I know Kristin does alot of NY Road Runners races, would the half be in NYC? If so, then I'll be added to the list of people doing it.

We're looking at the Bronx or Manhattan, depending on the courses. I've done Manhattan and it's tough with the CP hills so the Bronx might be better. Have you done that one? I haven't so I have no idea what it's like.

Ugh, good luck with that.  I can't seem to train in the evening.  At all.  Then add your jet lag.  No way!  I couldn't do it!

I got my non running sister to commit to train for a half marathon on May 3.  It's the Providence one.  I hear it is a hilly course but I'm not telling her that!  She wants a 13.1 sticker for her car.  Whatever, I'll just be happy to have someone to train with!  Then again, she lives an hour away and is slower than I am.  That is okay, it will be a good time!

I'm planning on both Manhattan and the Bronx. haven't done the Bronx. I did set my half PR in the Manhattan race. It is tough though with hitting the CP hills 2x. But I remember worrying about it so much beforehand that it didn't seem as bad when it happened.

(Hmmmm...interesting side note - i ran that race w/ my then soon-to-be girlfriend - which is the one that just totally screwed me over this past weekend. But maybe that's why the race didn't seem that bad, and why I set a PR.)

Definitely if you two run, we'll have to be sure to have a mini-BT meet-up.

The only thing I hated was doing the Harlem hill multiple times. I did it way back before the Nike half, when it was in August and scorching hot.

With my impending move to Brooklyn, the timing of Manhattan may not work for me, but I'll definitely be at one for sure! Since the logistics are easier than the NYC Mary, maybe we can finally meet after all this time.

Yeah, story of my life with my crappy work schedule. I had to start an 8 mile run at 9:45pm in October because it was the only time I had. I should have come home and just gotten straight on the trainer. But I was so hungry and tired. Blah.

ebshot - 2008-12-01 7:51 PM I think there is something wrong with me. It is 7:50 and I am ready for bed. I don't get why I'm so tired.

You have 3 kids, nuf said.

Ugh.

On the positive side... the trainer will wear you out physically and should make the sleeping easier right?

It would. It's just a matter of getting my tired a$$ on there. It's already 9:30. How did I get so lazy again? I wonder how I'll ever get into the IM training, I guess things will change by then.

WOw thats pretty late to be starting a workout...

Yeah, story of my life with my crappy work schedule. I had to start an 8 mile run at 9:45pm in October because it was the only time I had. I should have come home and just gotten straight on the trainer. But I was so hungry and tired. Blah.

Umm yeah Id need to have a snack at work to make that even close to doable - bleh!

Got in a short run today. Working on speed. Planning on a 5K in Jan or Feb. If I can do the 5K in Jan, might try a 10K in Feb. I'd like to do a half marathon. There's one at the end of April that is supposed to be a good first (Country Music Half). We'll take it one race at a time though; I don't wanna end up with more (or worse) foot/ankle problems.

YAY for Chocoloate!

It is one of the 4 basic food groups, after all.

1. Chocolate
2. Sugar
3. Caffeine
4. More chocolate
