Hey Jen!

I had an "oh crap this is gonna happen" moment this morning, but it passed.  I'm ready, and I'm almost positive I can finish the thing.  Of course, I've got a time goal floating around in my head, but we'll see.  Taper has begun in full force this week, so I'm finding myself with lots of time think to much about it.  Next week may be brutal, but I'm hanging in there right now

I'm not really ready, but it will be ok.  I can walk.  Mostly, it's a fun race, so that's why I'm doing it.

Unfortunately, rain is in the forecast.  It's supposed to start today, so I'm hoping that it will be mostly cleared out by Saturday.

You'll probably get what we are finishing up with.  Nasty downpours for 2 days with lotsa winds.  It was BLEAH.

I think I'm getting depressed the training is over and done with.  I wanna do the race, but I don't want the anticipation of doing the race to go away.  Bleh... I'm all moody again and it's not until the 5th.  I should probably go ahead and pre-apologize to the wife for my mood swings the next week and a half.

All this brought on by an ez 40 minute run at lunch on the treadmill.  I'm actually glad I'm back at werk for the distraction alone.

I'm in the same boat with you.  My Mary is not until 2 Saturdays.

Trailbreaker out of Waukesha, WI area, east of Milwaukee, WI.  Supposed to be one of the top 10 or 5 hardest in the nation.  You climb up a tower and ring a bell at the top to reach the 1/2 way mark.  Fun! *groan*

As an outside observer, many miles away, who is not participating... that sounds really cool.  I'm sure you'll think otherwise half way up the tower.

Sounds really cool, but I would sure hate there to be a line when I got there.

It's not a very populated race, somewhere around about 300 to 400 participants.  Vastly dispersed, too, looking at the previous years' finishers' lists.

Technicolor tie-dyed.  You know, someone had to put rubberbands on the cat and hold it down.

Then it can't be my fault.  Must be Phil's Fault.  Hmmmm, I seem to have heard that recently.  LOL
