Unfortunately I will not be starting off my month on a good foot, or any foot for that matter! After my hill training bike ride yesterday I had a terrible pain in the underside of my right foot. Not PF or anything but I suspect it may be due to pressure from my Speedplay's. They are relatively new and I have been having some minor issues. Right now my foot is in an ice bath... along with some other measures, it seems to be working.

I have a half marathon in less than two weeks so I am beginning my taper anyway... an unplanned rest from running today, but it will all be OK!

trysprintolympic - 2009-06-01 6:17 AM I have some running on my training plan today, but my right leg is ballooned and black thanks to a big hit at a soccer game last night. I think I will still do the run tonight as planned, but it's going to be a slow one. Luckily my goal is minutes and not miles!

Ouch! Hope you feel better!

Wow Team Taser has 17 pages already.  I know I asked for a chatty team but I didn't realize what that meant.  I don't think I could keep up w/ that.  LOL

I'm on the best team anyways.  Go Team Trifecta.

HAPPY RUNNING!!!!!!!!

Go Team Trifecta! Happy winter! (yes southern hemisphere).
I started the run challenge off with .... no running. Crossfitted today - pullups are hard! I'll be doing a 30-40min tempo with some hills tomorrow, to get my account up and running (no pun intended).

Good morning, Challenge Participants!

It's JUNE, and the challenge has officially begun! (Although many of you are already well underway with the secondary challenge aka the "post padding challenge.")

There are some new people being added to your teams. So the roster on the first page of the team threads may be out of date by now. However, the Spreadsheet has the current team roster.

There's a link to your team's spreadsheet on the first post of the thread.

Some people like to update the spreadsheet after every workout. Others prefer to do it weekly. The choice is yours.

Every Sunday, I'll check the spreadsheets, and give everyone an update with the current team rankings.

If you have any questions, you can ask your team captain or me.

Enjoy the challenge!

Ready... Set.... GO!

dimplespoo - 2009-05-31 8:04 PM Hey Everyone -
I am the 2nd Stacie on the team. I will go by StacieP or Stacie. I live in Oklahoma and have a goal of 40 miles this month. I took essentially the end of April and May off Bike and Run to concentrate on P90X and then vacation and have been in a slump since getting back from vacation. Tomorrow is day 1 of P90X again and running for the month. I haven't done a tri yet since I lack the vital part of it - I don't know how to swim. I will hopefully be more talkative later in the week because I am using all the free time I have for a certification test for work on Wed morning. I am hoping I pass. Wishing it was over already.

Looks like a great team and I think Team Trifecta is a cool name.

Stacie
Good luck with the Certification test!

Thanks Dee - I am goign to need it.

BTW....on the spreadsheet I made my goal in metric, 161 kilometers = a little bit over 100 miles. I am a Canadian girl after all, I did not want to keep converting back and forth!!

I just finished my very first tri ever (a try-a-tri distance) this morning and somehow managed to win the thing (1st of the women, 4th overall) so I guess now I need to gear up for my first sprint on June 21st! Looking forward to getting in some mileage with everyone over the next 30 days.

I updated my goal to 8 hours of running.  Just a guestimate. Will probably be more than that though.
