brick94513 - 2010-02-28 7:58 PM Alright, got my goals in the spreadsheet.  If I make my swim goal, it will be my biggest month ever!  Oh God, what was I thinking?

Maybe I should up my swim goal and we can get some serious competition going.

I set a fairly challenging goal of 25,000 yards, but it would be a heck of a lot of fun to have a swimming duel.

A challenge within a challenge!  I like it!  Most yardage wins????  3,400 for me today.

I'm always game for some friendly competition...and of course some smack talk.

Bring it on... Hopefully this will help push me to get through this month's swimming.  Oh, and bragging rights, of course!

If anyone is interested in some swim workout ideas, I stumbled across this swim blog by Sara McClarty:

Things were getting a little crazy last night and I wasn't sure if I would get my swim in but I made it in for an abbreviated workout. Things are crazy at work. Its fun how things work out. I can sit around with very little to do for weeks and then BAM! a whole bunch of stuff at once and not enough time to do it in. I'll be working some extra hours but am determined to not let the training slide. I'm excited for the new month, the new challenge, and the new season with new goals. Lets do it!

No, it would be a shame to leave that out.

I guess that I better swing by the pool on my way home from my appointment.   Let the games begin!

Thanks for the link.  I like these workouts much better than what swimplan spits out.

I'll try to stick with B and C as well.

How about we go with the common theme from the East Team.

Well I might as well share my stupidity from yesterday.  So, I swim with H2O Audio ear buds.  One was coming loose mid-lap, so I tried to push it back in mid-stroke.  Hmm... mistake.  There must of been water behing the ear bud and the pressure from pushing it in perforated my ear drum.  NICE!  Oh well, I should still be able to swim, just no more adjusting the buds in the water.

^^ Yeah, H2O Audio is awesome.  I use the interval system.  Case houses the older generation shuffle and attaches to my goggles.  Great sound quality, compact, and light.  They have excellent customer service too!

Music definately alleviates the boredom of black line monotony for me!

Ouch! Good thing I don't swim with those. Wait, in order to swim, I'd probably have to join a pool, wouldn't I? Hm.....
