New user 420 Charlotte, NC USA | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers And just like that Brazil is up 2-0. Anyone catching this live? I'm at espn using the GameCast feature which is really nice since I can't stream video. The first goal was beautiful - tough angle! |

Expert 1099 Broadlands | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers I think Dunga has done a great job with Brazil, he has a pretty consistent team now and the magic is still there. They do have a solid look to them in defense now, but the defenders still look to get forward |

Expert 1099 Broadlands | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers I think from there, players have the choice to place it to another player in the box, or, as I think happened in this one, smash it across the face of the goal and see what happens, this can result in it bouncing of anyone and going in. I think defenders are typically the ones that choose the option of hitting it hard across goal, not many defenders out there who have the coolness in front of goal to pull off that shot. I am not down on defenders, I play right back or sweeper myself, and in that situation, I would be smashing it across the face of the goal. the only one who will know if it was meant to be hit across goal or a shot is Maicon. ETA: I don't call a smash across goal a shot as I think it's more trying to get it across goal and see if someone knocks it in, I really think this is what he did/tried. Champion 15211 Southern Chicago Suburbs, IL | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers Chile is looking quite impressive. Even though it is only 1-0 in the 84th minute, they have had MANY opportunities and have been very creative. Some have been stopped by some incredibly unreal saves by the Honduras GK. |

Champion 5874 Milton, GA | Subject: RE: World Cup - Spoilers So far Spain and Switzerland very similar to the Brasil match. Spain dominating time of possession but just can't capitalize. I'm all for aggressive play but if the Swiss are not careful, they are going to give up a PK. |

agreed about NK. They were quit the sportsmen on the field. Yup, very few bookings on both players, nice ball rhythm and coordination. Brazil surely know how to treat their opponent well. Does everyone think Brazil had gone slightly under par for this World Cup? |

Does everyone think Brazil had gone slightly under par for this World Cup? What makes it so nice, for me, is their passing accuracy is the best around. No matter what the situation it seems to always land right on the players foot. |

I just cant read your posts without hearing Yoda in my head! Keep it coming though! Lucky goal for Chile...Spain players must take ballet - or need to to improve their balance..seem to fall over rather easily...still think the ball is an issue |

And watching the matches, to me, those that have sailed look like they would have sailed with the regular ball. The set ups by those that are striking look like they would have gone high anyway. Swiss just scored on Spain! |
