When is the water usually good for swimming, and fishing? Any time from May through September. The best is June and July. The water gets pretty hot (comparatively) in August. There is always the Lake Lure Olympiad August 24-26 http://www.hickorynutolympiad.com/ I don't work that weekend. Might have to come myself. You know now what weekends you will work next August? |

I got in a mile, soaking wet, big puddles and cold, so went back inside. Luckily they started the compression talk before 7, so we got out of there earlier than expected. It was nice. We tried the 110% compression calf sleeves, and they felt sooooo good. Pricey, so if I even consider getting any, it will be after I get the rest of the weight off. Up to 59 pounds now. 59 pounds is AWESOME!!! x 10000000 |

Champion 16743 Somewhere I can be nekidd | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Turkey Trottin' Through November Good afternoon Ghoulies! Sorry you still don't have power, Kim. You are always welcome here. I can give you a bed, a shower, warm food, and a dog to scratch behind the ears.
Today we had our last 2 games of the soccer season. Up until now we have only scored 1 goal. It was a rough year. It's tough having 4 of 9 players never playing soccer before. Anyway, today we scored 3 goals. We scored 2 in our first game, and my daughter scored a goal in the second game. The girls all said they had fun this season, and many of them thanked me for coaching. They made me feel good, but I am glad the season is over. I'm tired. I also want to focus on me now. Running starts Monday morning in the dark. Who wants to join me? |

Who do i have to go slap around for you? I'm having a relaxing Saturday watching football on the couch today. I think I'm recovered from running Sunday but taking a few extra days to be sure. Starting to think a bit about next years schedule. Thinking about 2 marathons and an ultra and just keeping to short local tris. Of course that's all dependent upon staying healthy in the run department. Decisions.....decisions...... |

Champion 14677 | Subject: RE: Ghoulies Are Turkey Trottin' Through November Morning Ghoulies. Had a lovely evening at a music house party last night. An acquaintance has this gathering every year. They have musician friends play while sharing the beer Dave makes. It is amazing. He had 10 different types of beer that he makes. He makes them in kegs and has professional taps. (not your average home-brewer!). They have a house on top of a mountain, not huge but perfectly sited to enjoy the fantastic views. The music was Irish/ Scottish (you have to like this stuff) and the musicians are world class. Nice way to top off the day. Today is more of the same. Chores and hopefully a run. I was going to get a drainer ride in but my cat-hooligans were roaring through the house and knocked my bike over and banged it up. I must re adjust it. The little vermin also clawed my exercise ball and deflated it. I know what Ann would say to do |
