1st Week Stats are in. We're right on the tails of the Mid-Atlantic Team. They have us by a fraction of a percent.

Excellent job everyone!
Status might change a hair with Oneword increasing his goal.

I'll better know my IR status after tonight. I was able to run 2 minutes last night with the dog. Just a hint of tightness but not sore. Icing right now and will go out again later to see if another 2-5 minutes can be done.

Baby steps all over again!

Steve, I found an error in the spreadsheet in cell M17, need to copy the formula from a cell above it otherwise it can exceed 100%. Attached is the updated file if you need to use it.

Alrighty then!
looks like I'm back in action I ran 5 minutes last night without any issues, iced, and did a hard 20.3 MTB ride ito work today and was stupid enough to brick a 12 minute run. Thighs were the limiting factor there, ouch! It will be the shortest possible ride home tonight!

51/350...Giddy up Don, giddy-up!

Wow this challnge has been amazing for me so far - I have been a run hater forever nad never consistenly run mor than once a week but right now Im sitting on over half of what I set as my goal (and I thought it was completely unattainable given my past running record) so...Wow!

I will be gone this weekend with the USMC, I may not be able to post my totals for the total week run until sometime Monday. I will post the weekly tally as soon as I can Monday though.

Nice work everyone!! I did a short 3 this morning and will try to do about 6-8 this weekend. Right now I'm at 18.6 - only 28.4 to go and 13.1 of them will be at my race.

Way to go team ... posting some great numbers.

The challenge has been a great motivator.  Would have normally blown off a run pre-dinner last night (especially after struggling through a lunch time ride), but knew that I was going to take a rest day today ... so I logged 7 miles.

Had to burn through the "resistance" (what I call the initial struggle with running until I hit stride/get into the groove) ... and used the challenge as motivation to keep the thoughts of slowing down + turning back at bay.

Thanks for the motivation guys! For the record, I am at 29.86 with a 8-10 mi. LSD run scheduled either for Saturday or Sunday.

Wayyyyyy to go!

I'm about to head out in two hours to do a LSD run on the treadmill... my goal is 7 miles

I'd rather play russian roulette than run that long on a treadmill My wife does this too, I've gone bonkers running 30 minutes on a treadmill.

Brent,
It looks like the snow storm will miss you this weekend. It went south a couple of miles so we're just getting a dusting. So you can run!
Of course, I can't say much because I'm behind. But I was in a high period at work through 5 pm today so I'm trying to make some sort of excuse. But no more excuses!
Shoot me a note if you have free time to run Sunday morning. Maybe we can link up.

Steve

Hey Everyone,
Ok I've come to a curcial part regarding my calf injury for the team. I either have to forfeit my commitment to the team or request a goal change. So far, things are looking good, I was able to do 24 minutes without any problem yesterday, but then lightly sprained my anvkle on a curb during a kiddie run following my wifes 5k race. No biggie, iced it and IB yesterday and this morning.

So instead of being a moron and pushing my leg to reach my original 350 minutes goal. I'd like to stay with the team but with a commitment of a total of 275 minutes from my original 350 minutes. I can build up to 90 this week and 110 the following week.

This cool with you guys? I'd hate to hear another other team start whining about us being 100% because of this...

Because you know they'll whine ... I'll take 25 minutes of the 75 you need to back off.  Hey - I tore my calf back in August and I know A) how tricky they are to heal, and B) how GREAT it feels to be back running!

So - I'm now 45 miles plus 25 minutes.

Take care, Captain!
