I added a team average to everyone's spreadsheet. I am smart like that. |

Expert 935 South eastern Ohio | Subject: RE: Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda TDF Challenge Thread Good Monday morning Team! I have been riding and just got all my logs up to date. I don't come over here everyday to post but I should. I have been stuck on the trainer due to the 100+ degree temps...I know but I'm a weather whimp. Hoping to actually get outside some this week. But either way I am riding and getting it done. Going to have to rattle that Hunter out of his cave or off the boat. Maybe he could take the trainer to the woods or ride on the boat? |

Expert 1566 Prattville Insane Asylum San Antonio | Subject: RE: Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda TDF Challenge Thread Ok, so I have some bad news and I need to know how to go about working it out. I have fractured my big toe in two places, one in the top and one at the bottom metatarsal. I also have a pretty bad contusion on the underside of the toe. I am in a boot for the moment, but was told to stay off of it for a week. So no biking or running for me this week. I am fully prepared to get back at it by next Monday, as I have a race in 2 weeks, that I refuse to miss. I need to rearrange my goals, since there isn't a way to complete my five stages this week due to this injury. What if anything can I do? I don't know the rules, and don't want the team to suffer because of my injury. Are you allowed to decrease your goal at this point, or what do I need to do in order to ensure what is best for the team? If I need to be dropped, I completely understand! Thanks!!! |

Extreme Veteran 1574 | Subject: RE: Garmin-Sharp-Barracuda TDF Challenge Thread I'm back and to set the record straight it was Red Fish and Specks that I was chasing / catching. Sorry for not getting my goals in or letting yall know before I left but I ran out of time. I finally put in my goals, which is 15 stages and 200 miles. I updated it with the first three but have a fourth stage to put in tonight from Wed. once I get it imported from my Garmin. Sorry again for not saying something before leaving but I was thinking about the coast and what had to be done before I left. Ecozenmama sorry to hear about your injury and hope you get better soon. To answer your question there are exceptions for injuries and the goals can be adjusted. I don't remember if you just change them or if you have to go through kagphin but they can be changed due to injury. |

Between a dog and a toddler, I took a tumble down a few steps and literally put my foot through the wall. At first I thought it was just a sprain/jam, but after 48 hours the swelling wasn't getting better, and the pain was just insane! So finally went today. They said only a week off, and then get back to it when the pain was tolerable or gone, so I will give it one week! My race is just a trail run, so no biggie, just one I have been looking forward too. If the contusion wasn't on the underside of my toe, I was going to use the boot and just cycle, but the doc gave me a scold, so I thought it best to lay off the bike for the week...I still say it could work, but I guess for once I will listen to the doctor! |

Based on the rules ????Item 8 in the challenge, if you have a set back (total goal/23- days in challenge) * number of days out of action = goal reduction Come on now, it is a big toe, imobilze it, get it in your shoe and go on We weren't suppose to emulate the black and blue Garmin TdF team so much at least we can still finish instead of having to abandon.
