Yahoo! Already have a solid 1500m under my belt! I'm thrilled we started on the 1st, since I think I'll need to cram in a couple swims over the next couple days to stay on track through the holidays.

GO CANUCKS GO!!

Hi Chris,

I do in fact have some flip flops.. I'll keep them far away fromt he beach though

Glad to have you back in Canada for this challenge!

Thanks! I've changed my avvie out of respect for my Canadien brothers and sisters! Anyone seen Dan (Crazypop) - is he swimming???

I went to his log and sent him an inspire.. he had been considering the challenge, but was wanting to wait for his hangover to subside before making a decision   His words, not mine.

Nice avie Chris!

Dan, Hangover - I've never heard something so absurd! Surely not! Dan... No...

Not really a hangover more than, kids got up too early and it was my turn.... So just tired and headachey...

I'll try to check everyones logs each Monday night and update the spreadsheet from them.  So please enter your workouts as early as you can!  If any corrections are required then PM me.  Good for your for such an excellent start!  I'm still coughing up a lung and hoping this cold is all gone by Monday!!!

Spreadsheet Updated.

22 Participants!  More team members than a Federal Leadership convention - lame joke I know.

Again - with so many participants I'm sure I've made a mistake or 2 along the way.  Please PM me if you see any errors!

Steve

I'm getting tired of the mary training...I'm in for 10,000m.....

Geez, I've barely swam over the past 3 months. Does it count if I use my pool noodle to float on!

thank goodness my new gym is open 7/24

Thanks for setting the benchmark Elly. I'll be sure not to swim less than that. I was hoping for 5000y today, but we'll see.

lol believe me, I was just as surprised as you are   I put a nice dent in my goal for the month at the last practice knowing I'm on my own (well so to speak, I'll have all of you motivating me) for the rest of the month.  Hope everyone had a great Monday!

Spreadsheet Updated - December 4th

We had a couple more people join our team.  Some of us got off to an excellent start.  Good job to those of you who did.  I'm still coughing up my lungs and can only hope that I can get over this cold and back in the pool by the end of this week.  Hope everyone else is keeping healthy.

PM me if any corrections are needed.

Steve

Now I feel really bad not having done anything yet.

4700y today, and I must say I was pretty tough in the pool. 60k might be easier than I thought.

Great job folks, we're starting off with a comfortable lead! Don't let it get to your head (yet) though... still plenty of time for things to even out, so we'll have to keep up the good work!

It's amazing how motivational a challenge like this can be - knowing that you're working as part of a team and all.

Yeah us!
