Team Werewolves/TAN is going to eat you guys up... in one little gulp, no burps!

So you're going with the "If you can't beat 'em, make 'em join us." strategy. Good luck with that. (Oh and that sound you just heard was my front door closing on the way to the track.)

more like the sound of a large cat or dog jumping onto a rocking chair and smacking it into the wall at 3 AM...or your drunken relative knocking over lamps or other things when they crawl in from bar hopping...(or is that you coming in at all hours under the influence?)

Spokes, those doughnuts couldn't look any nastier if thye were growing technicolor mold!...Maybe that's what's on them anyway.

Gail,    I hear you no more w##kouts, how about "plan for the day" or "highlight" of the day.  I work way too harfd to misname what I do--but I am usually having a blast doing it even when I fight with the swim coach (on a regular basis)

Weird, weird dreams woke me up in the middle of the night! I dreamt I had been killed and then I was a ghost - maybe it was a premonition of my October Challenge team being "Things That go Bump in the Night".....

So, I woke up in the middle of the night because of my nightmare and couldn't get back to sleep

Or maybe you ate some POISON APPLES!!!!

BTW, what do you think of my new Twinkietar? I had to stop by to show it off.

Bye now. Y'all keep on chatting. Don't worry about running tonight. Care for a Twinkie? I have a boxful for ya.

- Evil D.

LOL - Love the twinkitar! Keep it coming!, If i remember correctly, it was exactly this kind of talk that got you that boxful of twinkies!

Call it as you see it, Judi -- swim till your arms fall off, or swim with so much sass your coach can't keep up.  Bike like you're riding up Alpe d'Huez, and run proud, run strong, run purposefully!

I got in another 1.2 miles tonight. I wasn't planning on doing treadmill time, but all the ellipticals were being used. After that, I hopped on a bike and got in 5 miles on it, too.

I'm seriously thinking I should take another look at my goal for the month. I set a goal of 20 miles, but I've already done 2.9 miles in just 2 days. I'm thinking perhaps I should bump it up to 25 or 30 miles instead, but I don't want to set it too high and then not reach it. KWIM?

Nervous Noob ...

I will out in my 0.02 and say this....

Have a look at what you can do in 31 days, be honest, but make sure its a little bit challenging too so that you get that motivation to reach for your goals!

While this is a bit competitve the main thing is doing what is right for you... and if you want to aim a little bit higher then go for it! I will always encourage people wanting to stretch themselves and their goal

And... not making your goal but pushing really hard for something that is a challenge for you is also winning!

Have a think about it... and do what you are comfortable with...

Welcome new guy! I'm your official team leader - go check out the "Running is Fun" thread about the Challenge for the Rules. Yanti (aka TriAya) will probably be assigning you a cool nickname and "role" - yes, we get WAY into this here Basically, the only thing you absolutely HAVE to do is log ALL running or walking under the "run" icon on your logs for the week by the following Monday so I can submit everyone's weekly totals to Kat. Smack-talk, posting inspires and general silliness is HIGHLY encouraged, however.

To the rest of the Things That Go Bump: I am super-busy at work today and probably won't be on much. So it's not that I don't love you all - I just also love that I have money to pay my rent and buy cool tri-toys, so I need to keep my job I'll be on a little bit, but not nearly as much as usual. Keep on runnning My next run is scheduled for tomorrow, though it will be short, as I have a race on Saturday (which will count for another run!).

Chrissy - We'll miss you, but I completely understand. I just finished an insane week from hell last week. Just remember when you're running on Saturday that we're all cheering you on!

Paul - welcome to the team!

Catherine - Thanks for the input on my goal. I've decided I'll wait and see where I am at the end of week 1 and then decide if I need to adjust.

Hey hey hey! EAST was in the lead for the first half of the month! It's not my fault that we didn't win! I did MORE than 100% of my goals.

And yes, it was the Evil LastCall smack talk that motivated me to swim and bike until my arms and legs felt about to fall off. Well, mostly it was fear of displaying a Twinkietar, but we see how that one ended up.

So I hereby proudly display my TWINKIETAR, and hope that I don't have to deal with a penalty avatar next month, too! Which means, I'm gonna RUN RUN RUN. (Actually, it'll be walk, walk, walk. But you get the idea.)

So have a Twinkie, Last. See you in the blogs. Hahahahaha.

GO POISON APPLES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got in another 1.01 miles this morning I had a long, positive talk with myself the whole route (I told you I run to the voices in my head).

My foot is feeling sooo much better today. I have found out that I'm wearing the wrong type of shoe for my high arches so will be remedying that, hopefully, this weekend. Woohoo! New running shoes. I'm so fortunate that I live near Roadrunner Sports

Mountain? Mountain? Dang, here in the Dallas area if we want hill training we find someone with an elevated driveway.

Great job, keep up the good work.
