So what is everyone's plan for the day? How are you going to start this challenge off? I'll be riding my bike trainer for 30 mins at some point today.

I am doing....nothing today. Ah! I need to get some R&R. Went to bed at 8:30 last night and I'm still tired today. But tomorrow, it's on like donkey kong!

Haven't decided if it's going to be 1200m at the pool or 3-5 miles at lunch. I'll figure it out then.

Alright, I got a jump on my goals today. 2 mile run & 3 miles on the bike (trainer).

Welcome Scott/Spokes!

Jason is a cool Apple! He can visit us anytime.

I'll be working late tonight, so maybe I'll get a chance to stay up with the big kids on BT.

I need your help. How do you make your personal photo your profile image in the control panel URL stuff. I see the photo I want for my avatar listed as a personal photo, but can't seem to get rid of Mr. Staypuft as my profile image. I am not a technical wizard. Any input is welcome. Thanks, team!

Damn!  Y'all really are addicted to this stuff... I better be cautious... Of course I guess this is a "support group" of sorts.

Like others, I've got lots going on today as well... 2 meetings (over 30 miles apart, ugh), and gotta go pay my ticket for my "wide left turn" (I think the cop had really low self-esteem)

Still going to try and clock out by 3 and run and lift.

So being an idiot at techy stuff, where do y'all find the avatars... just anywhere on the net?

Any where on the net or a picture of your choosing. Just save and resize it.

spokes - 2007-10-31 10:11 PM Beth, I know I'm really late to the party here, but can I be on y'all's team? I'll pledge 100 miles of running for Nov (I'm tapering, so don't laugh).... ?

I vote yes beth, although I agree we have the sexiest women on BT here on our team, spokes would be a welcomed male addition. Besides you'll now have three whipping boys (did I say that out loud?). LOL

I would tend to agree - with both statements - you are surrounded by the sexiest women on BT and, we could use another whipping boy guy - just to keep things interesting!

LOL

Just think of it as multi-tasking while you are doing paperwork, makes it seem less like an additiction

I wonder if there is a 12 step program anwhere - Cool

Heading off to a meeting with my boss. Got promoted 5 months ago and this will be our first meeting one on one. Might be our last since she is retiring in 3 months. Wish all bosses could be this hands off. Oh, what am I saying? I am a boss. Darn, wonder what they think of me. Good thing they don't know about BT.

Hey Terri, hope you're safe...sounds like they'll have the fires contained in a few days(?).  And YES we are tough (ducking for cover...)...at least our post count looks tough...

Yep, I'm safe. The fires near me were contained earlier in the week. Sure is nice being able to go out and run and not have to worry about the air quality.

Don't make us do something... unforgiveable...

Avada Kedavra (The Killing Curse)

Pronunciation: /?'v?.d? k?'d?.v??/Description: Causes a bright green flash that results in the instant death of the intended target.

The Avada Kedavra Curse causes instant death that is never explainable. When the curse strikes a non-living object, the energy is released in a small explosion at the point of impact. If the material struck is flammable, the curse starts a fire of greenish flames. The extent of damage from the curse when used on a phoenix is uncertain, as the primary trait of a phoenix is self-resurrection. It seems to merely start the phoenix's current resurrection cycle over again. Albus Dumbledore's pet phoenix named Fawkes is seen to swallow a killing curse in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The Avada Kedavra curse is used regularly by Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters to kill their enemies. There is no known counter-curse or blocking spell, although the caster can be interrupted, the victim can dodge the green jet, hide behind solid objects, or, if the casting wizard is not sufficiently competent, the curse may be completely ineffective as described by Barty Crouch Jr acting as Alastor Moody in The Goblet of Fire.

wow Spokes - be nice to the visitors - they help with our post count
