Subject: RE: The Mysterious Dark Artsesc - 2008-10-04 4:25 PM QueenZipp - 2008-10-04 1:17 PM I have a big blister on my insole. And a bunch of little ones on my toes. Along with black and blue toenails that will eventually fall off. My feet didn't get this ugly training for the spring half mary. The blister thing is kind of odd. Have you ever gotten blisters on long runs before? Did you wear different socks than normal. I ended up with a blister on my big toe once from wearing an odd ball pair of socks. Nope. I have to wear silicone gel pads to run. They slide over like something a ballet dancer would wear in toe shoes for the arch. My sesmoid bones (the little guys at the ball of your toes ) are bipartite (2 parts ) and normally are not supposed to be. I'm going to check with the LRS for suggestions and also the podiatrist. I think it's friction since it's still warm out. My build for the spring half mary was over Jan-March so sweating wasn't an issue. I like the thick run socks I got at the Race For the Cure expo in May. More padded. A couple races I did this year gave out "da feet" socks but I feel like my foot slides around in them too much. THey are nice for biking though--but I usually ride sockless. |
