I did my long run today.  Figured out why I don't like gel  It's consistency reminds me of post nasal drip  (ewwwwwww, gross!!)

Time to refuel.....low fat chocolate soy milk with a peanutbutter and banana sandwich on whole wheat coming up!

That sounds so yummy! Um, the sandwich, not the post nasal drip...

I found some aloe infused socks at Bath&Body today.  Lady said the aloe lasts in them for 30 washings.  I'll let you know.....Also found moleskin and other foot stuff at the grocery store cause the doggies are sore from running (didn't bother me for the sping half?)

So I got another 12.23 miles in for the week with the Race for the Cure 5K tomorrow.  That brings me to 22.55 miles with an oppertunity for 25.65.  Plus my Monday run which unfortunately was Sept is a total of 40+ for the week.

Just wash them in Aloe Lotion every now and again and it should last you much longer than that!!

Waiting for my husband to be ready to close our pool.  He had to take call today and has made 2 trips to the hospital for cases so far today.

I also want to do a recovery swim but given the time I doubt I'll get that in before they close for the evening.

Hot date with my massage stick after dinner

QueenZipp - 2008-10-04 1:17 PM I have a big blister on my insole.  And a bunch of little ones on my toes.  Along with black and blue toenails that will eventually fall off.  My feet didn't get this ugly training for the spring half mary.

The blister thing is kind of odd.  Have you ever gotten blisters on long runs before?  Did you wear different socks than normal.  I ended up with a blister on my big toe once from wearing an odd ball pair of socks.

Ugh.  Just got back from another sad Purdue football game.  It might be a long season.  They FINALLY put in the backup quarterback any hey, what do ya know, we marched down the field and scored.  And then missed the point after.  Because our kicker seems to have lost his head.  Only 2 more weeks until the start of basketball season.

Nope.  I have to wear silicone gel pads to run.  They slide over like something a ballet dancer would wear in toe shoes for the arch.  My sesmoid bones (the little guys at the ball of your toes) are bipartite (2 parts) and normally are not supposed to be.  I'm going to check with the LRS for suggestions and also the podiatrist.  I think it's friction since it's still warm out.  My build for the spring half mary was over Jan-March so sweating wasn't an issue.

I like the thick run socks I got at the Race For the Cure expo in May.  More padded.  A couple races I did this year gave out "da feet" socks but I feel like my foot slides around in them too much.  THey are nice for biking though--but I usually ride sockless.

Did 10.25 miles today.  I calculated my zones for my Forerunner and ran in Z2, per coach's plan.

I've never had any problems with toenails going black, or losing them.  Not once.

Oh no, it really is hard. Maybe you should over-do it, you know, really stick to it in say, Zone 1, or better yet, Zone 0. Yeah, 0. Try that for a while

Threadus interruptus.  It was a continuation statement of what I was yammering on about when you slid one in there.
