I was not expecting it to be as windy as it was. 2 miles scheduled for tonight, and it is to be colder, but I don't think any wind. I will probably be on the dreadmill tomorrow, highs in the lower 40's and rain, yuck. Great job everyone getting their runs in. WE ARE TOTALLY GOING TO ROCK THIS CHALLENGE!!! Remember to get the treadmills in now and then Nov 1 run outside Great job and stay warm! I've started making some cold gear purchases. I also have been printing out items I would like for Christmas and handing the pages to my husband. A little frostbite never hurt anyone, right? |

I didn't see it here. ok...here is my reflection...for my 6000th post! I would never have found BT if it werent for Dorothy...she was on this site...not sure of her user name...but I remember coming here and seeing all the talk about her...was really hard for me to see it and think about joining in....the reason my name is girl passing on left is because it was her favorite thing to say....she was a very strong rider and loved to pass guys and say GIRL on your left. I am honored to race with and for her! I will never forget her and will thank her over and over for getting me up and going again! I have always been active...raced mtn bikes for 15+ years, played softball, basketball, volleyball, and played on a coed ultimate team that won 3rd in Germany a few years back....ok 8 years ago! you all be good ghouls and runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! While this must be a difficult story to tell, I'm glad you keep telling it. You are truly an inspiration. I love how supportive you are of everyone on BT. Congrats on number 6000! |

So my goal today is to make the pile disappear. If I get it done in time, my reward is a 3 mile run. Must focus... |

[our family lost my nephew to a brain injury and i really resonated as you described the back and forth of those first days, the indescribable agony that you experience, losing someone so suddenly...unexpectedly....tragically] but to think that out of such loss and tragedy, such transformation has come - you've gone on to honor her life, by honoring your own. THAT is incredible. A LIFE WELL LIVED im guessing too, is YOUR HONARARIUM. keep on keepin' on JULESY. you are an inspiration to us ALL here at BT! and you make DOROTHY proud, w each and every kick&arm stroke, pedal stroke and foot fall. theres nodoubtabout THAT. mwah! stacieb |

No running today...I am moving my two miler to Friday in hopes of avoiding the spitting rain...I hate spitting rain! Regular rain would be fine, but my face always stings so badly when it is spitting and cold like it is today...and Friday did not have any workout plans and it is only 2 miles so...yes I am rationalizing! |

I would so love to be there! But I even if I start now I don't think I would quite make it. Besides it is my birthday today; I have the day off and Larry is taking me out for Chinese tonight. After we walk the lake (5K) of which I will jog 2 miles ......... I think that is my farthest distance with no walking yet! It is raining today, but I WILL NOT let that stop me! I got a 5 mile run done yesterday. I'm still on target! I plan on running in a 5K on Sunday so this week is relatively mellow. Baby has been growing by leaps and bounds lately. He is sitting up on his own now! It's so cute! He looks so pleased with himself! I hope everyone is doing good. Keep running team!!!! nice run!!! and dont be sad...you are doing what any good mom would do! spend quality time with thier baby and watch it as it does all its first...first crawl, first step, first tooth, +++ way to be there for your kiddo!!! and again good run!!! KIU!!! Oh yes!!! I get to see all the firsts!!! It's awesome!!! I actually saw his first tooth when I got done with a run with him in the stroller. I was taking him out and noticed the little pearly white poking through the gums! That was fun! Running with my baby and experiencing a "first"! BTW....great story. It, simply, leaves me speachless. thanks....I sometimes forget how lucky I am!!!!!! next time Im whining about something...can you guys remind me!!! |
