I'm back, for a little while, until I head back to school to walk with my daughter.

So I have a sore throat and my doctor couldn't get me in until Monday. The doctors office recommended I go to the Ready Care facility. I went there after I walked laps with Caleb this morning.

Not too bad. I was in and out of there in half an hour. My symptoms were sore throat, mild headache, low grade fever. My diagnosis was upper respiratory infection. The doc asked if I had any congestion or cough. I said no. He said that my lungs didn't sound good at all.

Anyway the prescription for the rainy weekend is rest. Lots and lots of rest!

So I was able to sneak out of the office over lunch and get my car washed.  Since I was out, I went to Panera for a quick bite.  Now Panera is not fine dining with soft background music, but it isn't McD's.  May I share my opinion that it is F'ing RUDE to let your children run screaming back and forth among tables while you F'ing chat on your F'ing phone.

There, I feel better. And my car is all shiny and clean.  At least until the next wave of pollen gets dumped on it.

As the mother of 2 I don't even find that behavior acceptable at McDonald's!

I can honestly say I have NEVER had a problem taking my kids out in public.

I can also say that my mother in law has kept my kids since they were babies. She is VERY old school and would not put up with crap like that in public. I have reaped the rewards of this.

Ann, did a quick search and found this 20 week training plan with long runs up to 26 miles.  It also has options to modify if you only want to go 20 max.  Hopefully I'll have time this weekend to look around a bit more.  Don't think I'm going to be getting away with only running 3x week like I did for the half.  Yikes.

Well, you are a Navy officer. I would expect no less.  I was an Army brat.  We would have been put in front of the proverbial firing squad if we misbehaved.

That's funny. On Sunday my son said something snotty to his sister so I put him in the push up position and told him to stay there until I got tired.

AFTERNOON GHOULIES.

had a fun ride out and about on the Streets around Cranberry.

rode to Panera.  bumped into the same cute boy i saw when i rode the other day.  we smiled at each other but have yet to introduce ourselves.

i almost feel like i know him.

ok.  cheesy to say.

im wondering if he goes to the Y.

if i see him a third time im DEFINATLEY going to introduce myself cuz that would just be too freaky if i see him there THREE times.

he reminds me A LOT of my rock climber/bartender cute boy.

must have a type.

worked this morning at the Y... and working again tomorrow and Saturday.

im looking forward to hanging w some uber fun and fine women tonight!

after this week, not only working so much, but the mini breakdown in communication that occurred between J. and myself.

ya.  i guess you'll have that still.

MAN DO I NEED IT.

i hoping to get my hair cut when the boys get home from school...i was always hoping to tan before i head out tonight but im not sure i can make that happen before Pizza night w the kids.

ah well.

got enough sun on my to and from Paneras today.

two more days of lifeguard training and i'll be official.  were doing our water skills and CPR/AED tests tomorrow.

i know enough just to be DANGEROUS.  LOL.

one of the lifeguards said that he was excited to hear that i was joining the team.  not someone i know real well.  but....i guess good news travels fast.

gotta pass my tests first.

thats about it w me.

i stink and need to shower ASAP.

its a ridiculously gorgeous day outside.

Ok kids.  I am heading out.  Done with work for the day.  Going to swing by the LRS and pick up a new pair of kicks to start in the rotation. Current pair have 300+ miles.  Then going to knock off a few errands, like the bank and dry-cleaners. Lastly finish the week with Loser Swim at the Y.

See ya later!
