I REALLY don't like the cold. I would love to find a place that went no lower than 55-60 in winter and didn't top 90-100 in summer. That to me would be ideal. |

Maybe you and the kids could set up your own version of a tri in your back yard? Couple loops around the house maybe pulling each other on sleds, build a fort/snowman, stuck on a third maybe someone else can come up with a good one. |

This is kind of a freak cold spell we're in right now. Temps will be back to normal later this week and they're even predicting 40 for Friday, which would make me one happy camper. I'm pretty sure that if I didn't have family living near here I would go find your ideal winter climate and live there. Low of 50, yes I could handle that |

I'm in Chicago, which is earning it's name as the Windy City and I unfortunately got sick. I've got a sinus/ear thing going on that has ceased all ability to do any sort of workouts. I may be able to bounce back somewhat next week, but will not be at full capacity I'll update the spreadsheet with where I'm at and do my best! I hope you fell better soon....why are you in Chicago? I love that city! I decided to spend some time here with friends on my way to spend Christmas in Michigan with family. I sure picked a heck of a week weather wise though! |

He took me out a few times and kept me entertained. It's always nice to have BTers to visit. |

Running is SO not happening. I get derailed every time I try to get out. Grr. And now it'll be until I get to my parents before I can run. At least it is flat there so I can run even if the roads aren't great. I think I'm gonna be doing two-a-days to get back on track! Yikes! |

I managed to make it to work un-scathed (sp?) The temp should warm up by lunch so that this non-sense can end. My mom and I had a really fun cookie exchange party last night, so now I have a rediculously large amount of random sweets in my house...yom! Work is completely dead, so I have nothing to do...but this |

OMG, I have so many types of sweets...chocolate drop cookies, fudge, peanut brittle, brownie cookies, hay stacks, banana nut bread, caramel brownies. I made chex mix so we'd have a little something different in the mix of sweets. I usually let my son leave a snack for santa. He's on a granola bar kick right now, so that's what santa will be getting this year probably. |

Master 2665 The Whites, New Hampshire | Subject: RE: Hot Toddies LazyMarathoner - 2008-12-23 11:12 PM In your house I'm fairly sure Santa prefers a nice red wine Ain't THAT the truth! You know it's funny, Erica - I've heard a bunch of people say they leave out Diet Coke (always Diet) for Santa for the caffeine, sick of milk, whatever. Not Dr. Pepper, not Monsters, not regular Coke, not coffee - Diet Coke. Weird! I ran!!! Okay, I wasn't technically running, but my snowshoes were sinking 2-3" most of the time, and I was up to above-mid-thigh in one spot. I think I'd have been over my head if I didn't have 'shoes on! (not really, but it is funny to think about) My hip flexors hurt a little from lifting my 'shoes through the deep stuff. I'm hoping I laid down a good track for the rest of the winter, if the snowmobiles don't kill it. Too bad I'm going to be gone for several days so I can't maintain it. Oh well. I gotta get back on the mountain trail, too. Yay for SNOW!!!!! Tonight is my last night until Sunday - yippee! I'll wave to Wally while I'm in NJ, and to Erica as I pass through CT. Kristen, you are still in Chicago, right? Anyone else I should wave to? Happy Festivals-to-celebrate-light-in-the-darkness!! |
