Im a bit of a wreak.  I haven't raced tris in 7 years and I've been having nightmares, winding myself up and generally panicking about it.  (I have been racing running races lots in the past 7 years - so it's not like I haven't raced at all.)

I know I need to settle down - I'm not competitive with others - but I am with myself.  So I'm trying to focus on this race for what it is ... a training day to get me ready for Steelhead.  Instead of focusing on my place/time.

My mantra is: Go out, have fun, finish strong.

I am going to string him up by the dangly parts later! Grrrrrrrrrrrr.. One thing I asked! ONE THING!

aquagirl - 2009-06-18 8:16 AM Good Morning Peeps!

Well...I have bad news. My baby toe has cellulitis, fancy medical term for a deep infection. I have started on a course of anti biotics and must take it easy for the next while. This is secondary to chronic blistering.

So I gotta bow out...

I mean really.......ridiculous.....at least if I am gonna get injured I could get something cool and studly sounding....but an infected little piggy??? But there it is.

I will hang out to cheer you all on!

Bummer! I guess we are officially now the CHEERLEADERS for this crew!

Stef, you're going to kill it! OMG, the bike alone is going to guarantee you a great time - but you are absolutely going to be awesome. You'll crush me for sure!

blujay65 - 2009-06-17 2:32 PM Hey Teammates!

Seems I have some bad newsFrown. That nagging groin pain is a strained hip abductor muscle. It happened before my race, and the race just made it worse apparently. Bummer. Unfortunately I will have to pull out of this challenge. It will best for me to take a break from running for a few weeks. But have no fear! I will be back! In fact tomorrow I am off to the gym to get back to my strength workouts! I can keep swimming as long as I stay freestyle and limit my kicking and biking we'll have to check that out once some of the soreness goes away. I can tell you this, it's a weird place to try and ice!

Just a short break! I promise!Wink

Get better soon and look after yourself.
