So tonight we start week 6 of the running workshop that I'm in.  I am seeing an improvement.  I'm up to a minute and half walk/ minute and half run and can go for about 40 minutes and not be totally wiped out.  I'm beginning to get a handle on the breathing so that I don't sound like Darth Vadar after about 10 minutes.  I'm excided to see how I improve over the next 5 weeks.

And the knees are doing so much better.

WOOHOO!

How many weeks does it go?

10 weeks

Robin - you are not a Hippo, but I love the title of your program.  Can I join?

Melissa - I guess that Medical school is a full time job that you don't get paid for, but you have to pay for.  You can do it.

Stacie - hope the meeting goes well with boss #1, or soon to be ex, or soon to be delegated to boss #2 because the new boss becomes boss #1.  And I thought that any "spring" sport in the north was a bad weather sport.

Ann - you are quiet today.  Everything must be going smoothly

Dee - keep laughing.  It is the best medicine even when you are feeling well.

Quick nap, then homework, then trainer. Just my suggestion.

Off to prep dinner and do laundry. How fun!!!

Evening Ghouligans. Busy at work today and then dinner with friends. Just thought I'd drop in and share with you my latest favorite that I'm following on Twitter (Chrissie and Macca are my normal favs, but this gal is now taking NYC by storm.)

http://in.reuters.com/article/2011/03/29/idINIndia-55971120110329

Hope everyone is well. My back is starting to feel a wee bit better. Hoping for a run by this weekend.

Gouhlies, I need some help. I am looking for a road bike for my boy. He's turning 9 soon. I'm hoping Bill or Kim, or somebody will have some leads. the budget is not very large.

Craig's List? Or maybe LBS? My LBS has a program where kids bikes can be traded in/up. He might be able to ride a used women's specific geometry in a smaller frame size ie 47" or 48" depending on his height/inseam. I've donated all my old bikes to Pedals for Progress, but they were all 58" so not much help. I'd work every tri-club/bike group you can find. For everyone that rides, there are several bikes in the garage/basement gathering dust.
